DuGe town

DuGe town was established in 2012. The former dugebuyi Miao Yi township is located in the southwest of Shuicheng County, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, 48 kilometers away from the county. It is connected with Yangmei Yi Miao Hui Township in the East, Jichang town and faer town in the south, Puli Township in Xuanwei City, Yunnan Province across the river in the West, and Yushe town and Pingzhai Yi Township in the north. It is the throat of the two provinces and three counties.

With a total area of 70.21 square kilometers, the township governs 6 administrative villages, 96 villager groups, 6978 households and 27386 people, mainly inhabiting Buyi, Miao, Yi and other ethnic minorities. At the end of 2006, the gross domestic product (GDP) reached 142 million yuan (including Xiangshui Hydropower Station), the per capita net income of farmers was 1823 yuan, the per capita share of grain was 350 kg, and the total financial income was 17.1 million yuan. The construction of small towns has begun to take shape, and the overall pattern of "one vertical and four horizontal" has been improved. Underground is rich in coal, iron, zinc, copper, aluminum and other exploitable mineral resources. Water energy and climate are the two natural resources of the township.

There are 450000 tons of riverside coal mine and Baoxing coal mine under technical transformation in the township, and the annual output of 1.2 million tons of DuGe coal mine is planned. In terms of hydropower, a Xianghe hydropower station with an annual installed capacity of 110000kw has been built. The second phase of Xianghe hydropower station with an installed capacity of 140000kw and nizhuhe hydropower station with an installed capacity of 100000 kW are about to start construction. Hydropower and coal have become the main pillar industries of the township. Wujia Street will have the highest annual output of coal resources, with an average of 2000 people working every day.

The transportation in DuGe township is convenient, and the highway network connecting villages and groups is basically sound, which runs through about 86 villager groups in the township, benefiting 6283 farmers; Shuibai railway and shuipan Expressway pass through Huangni and Yakou villages in our Township, and hangrui expressway will pass through Chahe group in DuGe village in our Township.

The township has a unique climate and unique geographical location, which is suitable for the development of agricultural industry. At present, there is one kiwi fruit planting industrial base with a planting area of 1080 mu; one bayberry planting base with a planting area of 500 mu; one walnut planting base with a planning area of 10000 mu for Malong and Yakou; and one early maturing vegetable planting base with a planning area of 500 mu.

Due to the unique climate conditions, many cash crops can be planted in DuGe township. In addition to the above bases, sugarcane, Ponkan, watermelon, grape and other fruits can also be planted.

In 2010, the total output value of the township was 310 million yuan (including Xiangshui Hydropower Station), the agricultural output value was 52.8 million yuan, an increase of 3.7 million yuan compared with 48.9 million yuan in 2009, an increase of 2.5%; the total industrial output value was 192 million yuan (including Xiangshui Hydropower Station), the total grain output was 10382 tons; the other output value was 68.2 million yuan; the per capita net income of farmers was 2950 yuan, an increase of 469 yuan compared with 2009. The per capita share of grain is 396 kg, and the total fiscal revenue is 36.44 million yuan, an increase of 13.8 million yuan or 61% over the 22.64 million yuan in 2009. The enrollment rate of school-age children was 99.98%.

In the next step, DuGe township will continue to take the development idea of "stabilizing the township by agriculture, prospering the township by coal and electricity, leading the township by cities and towns, and invigorating the township by three industries". Historical evolution

DuGe was once a township under faer district government office. In the 1980s, it was withdrawn from the district and merged with the township to establish DuGe Buyi, Miao and Yi township. In 2012, the provincial government (Qianfu Han No. 326) approved to cancel DuGe Buyi, Miao and Yi Township and set up DuGe Town, with the town government stationed in DuGe village.

On July 29, 2020, it will be included in the National Health township (county) naming list of 2017-2019 cycle.
