Evolution of organizational system
Aer is the surname of Yi people. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of more than 100 households of Adou Liumo township. At the end of the Republic of China, there was a government agency, which was the home of the Black Yi's family members. After the democratic reform in 1956, aer township was built. In 1959, aer brigade was combined with Puchang township to form Puchang people's commune. In 1961, the township system was restored. In 1973, aer township was rebuilt into aer Township People's commune. In 1985, aer township was restored. In 1992, aer township was merged with Puchang Township and Shihai township to form Puchang town. In 1994, aer township was restored. on June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish aerxiang.
