Liuhuang Township

Liuhuang township is located in the southwest of Wanyuan City, 118 kilometers away from the city center, covering an area of 39.86 square kilometers, with the highest altitude of 1360 meters and the lowest altitude of 680 meters. It is adjacent to Xindian Township in the East, Caoba town in the south, Wei hometown in the west, Longfeng Township and Dongxi Township in Tongjiang County of Bazhong City in the north. It has 5 villages, 34 villager groups and 5124 people (2017).

On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Liuhuang township.

Travel

In the township, there is a provincial cultural relic, the tomb of Zhang Jiancheng, a rare one built in 1914. With its rich historical heritage and strong cultural atmosphere, Wanyuan has become a dazzling tourist pearl in Northeast Sichuan. It is a good place for exploring archaeology, sightseeing and leisure.
