Gujun Township

Gujun township is located in the southeast of Wanyuan City, and the town is located on the East Bank of Zhonghe River, which is in the shape of reverse hook, plus the new area on the lower edge of the cable bridge and the other bank, forming an "X" shape. Spring, summer, autumn and winter have four distinct seasons. The annual rainfall is 1200 mm, the average temperature is 16.3 ℃, the cultivated land is 7136 mu (2356 mu), and the tea garden is 3500 mu. The main scenic spots include the former residence of revolutionary martyr Li Jiajun and the former site of uprising headquarters, scenic spots such as shaqinghe River and Dishuiyan, a chastity memorial archway and "Bayi hope primary school" named by General Secretary Jiang.

On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Gujun township. Combined with the original Baiyang township to establish Gujun town

Historical evolution

The name comes from the fact that general fan Kuai led his troops here and ordered the hungry soldiers to pick red seeds to satisfy their hunger, consolidate their morale and win the battle. It covers an area of 66 square kilometers, 60 kilometers from Wanyuan city and 117 kilometers from Dazhou city. on June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Gujun township.

In 2006, the total economic income of the township was 42.99 million yuan, with a per capita net income of 2731 yuan. There are advantaged coal, water energy and forest resources in the territory; famous and special products such as "Gujun quetongue" tea, Jiuyuan black chicken, tobacco, Pueraria, potato, and revolutionary martyrs

Gujun cable bridge

Zhonghe village, Gujun Township, Wanyuan City, was the worst hit by the "7.8" flood in 2005. The original steel bridge in Zhonghe village was destroyed by the flood, which made more than 2900 people on both sides of Zhonghe River unable to cross the river and transport. Gujun Zhonghe cable bridge construction project was strongly supported by the provincial work relief office, and was listed as a key project under the provincial management in 2005. The main project investment was 300000 yuan, of which 150000 yuan was invested by the state in work relief, and the lower funds were raised by the local government and the masses. Wanyuan Transportation Bureau is responsible for the design and technical supervision of the construction drawings of the project. The bridge is designed as a reinforced concrete cable-stayed bridge, with a total length of 95 linear meters and a width of 3.5 meters, which can withstand the traffic of micro vehicles less than 5 tons.

Former residence of Li Jiajun

Li Jiajun's former residence is located 400 meters south of Houping village, Gujun Township, Jiuyuan Town, Wanyuan City, with a layout of three courtyard. Li Jiajun and his comrades in arms conspired here many times to complete the preparations for the Gujun uprising. According to the design of Li Jiajun in 1926, the structure of the building has been renovated, covering an area of 932 square meters. The building has a flat roof with one floor and one floor. The width of five rooms is 24.5 meters, and the depth of four rooms is 18 meters. The height of the building is 6.5 meters, and the height of the ground floor is 3.2 meters. In the former residence, there are Li Jiajun's whole body statue and restoration notes, and Li Jiajun's life story exhibition room. Each room of the house also displays some of the original furniture. In 1987, Zhang Aiping, then state councilor and Minister of national defense, inscribed the name of Li Jiajun's former residence.

Chastity archway

Built in the 3rd year of Guangxu, it is located on the mountain path on the other side of the river behind dujiayuanzi in hongdongquan village, Gujun township. The chastity archway is more than 6 meters high and has a close relationship with the local Du family. It is well preserved, and the preface and pattern of the stone carvings are still clearly visible. However, during the cultural revolution, a small number of additional buildings were destroyed and a few characters were changed.

Shaqing River

Shaqing River in the upper reaches of Zhonghe River in Gujun township is located above the Xiaohekou (the outlet of mulaxi River). The steep canyon is formed between two mountains on both sides of the river. The river here is clear, the stone walls are strange, and the scenery is especially beautiful. Although the transportation is inconvenient, it still needs to be developed. Jinlu mountain villa has already attracted a large number of tourists from nearby towns.

Dishuiyan

Dishuiyan is located in the southeast of huoshiliang village, Gujun township. There is a small stream sandwiched by two mountains. The higher the mountain is, the steeper the slope is. Finally, at the end of the stream, the two mountains formed a cliff, and the top of the cliff intersected with a "V" shape. At the intersection, a clear spring fell to a huge egg shaped rock below, making a huge sound. The spring water is further divided into several strands and slides down to the deep pool below along the smooth stone wall like a mirror! From a distance, the stone wall covered with dark green moss looks like countless white ribbons and bead curtains! Although the scenery and shaqing River have their own merits, they are even slightly better. However, due to the traffic congestion, there are not many people who know about it. However, tourists who have visited here all give a thumbs up to cheer!

Hope primary school

Bayi Hope School of gujunba, Wanyuan City, was founded in 1912. Its predecessor was the ninth University of Wanyuan county and the Central Primary School of gujunxiang, Wanyuan county and Wanyuan city. In 1928, Li Jiajun, a famous revolutionary martyr, was the president of the school. In 1997, it was donated by Chengdu Military Region and inscribed by Comrade Jiang Zemin, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Military Commission, the name of the school "Bayi Hope School of gujunba, Wanyuan city". the school is located in the center of Wanyuan gujunbachang Town, which is known as the first red revolutionary base in Sichuan during the agrarian revolution. It is the hometown of revolutionary martyr Li Jiajun and one of the friendship schools for the Communist movement in Dazhou and Bazhong
