Wenchong town

Wenchong town is located in the northeast of Qu county, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It has jurisdiction over 1 community and 10 administrative villages. Historical evolution

In 1996, with an area of 31 square kilometers, Wenchong township has jurisdiction over nine administrative villages and one neighborhood committee, including Wenchong, study, Taishan, promotion, innovation, Shanfeng, Xuetang, Jinguang and Luyun; Gonghe township has an area of 16 square kilometers and a population of 10000, and has jurisdiction over five administrative villages, namely miaoba, Xiawan, Yaodian, Shiwan and Tanba. In 2004, Jinguang and Luyun villages of Wenchong town were merged into Baoen Township, and the former Gonghe township was merged into Wenchong town.
