Renshi town

Renshi town is a town under the jurisdiction of Kaijiang County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the southwest of the county, 38 kilometers away from the county, 73 kilometers away from Dazhou railway station, 75 kilometers away from Dazhou Heshi airport, 35 kilometers away from Chongqing Liangping airport, 77 kilometers away from the urban area of Kaizhou District, and 90 kilometers away from the Yangtze River Wharf.

Renshi town is the only way for the transportation of the surrounding two provinces (cities) and seven counties and the material distribution center of the surrounding counties. The starting point of the highway between Kairen (County town to Renshi town) and Renda (Renshi town to Dazhou city) is Dawan (Dazhou to Wanzhou) railway transit, and Kaijiang railway station (passenger and freight dual-use) is built. Yuwu road and bapeng road run through the whole country.

In 1993, it was approved by the provincial government as "provincial pilot town construction". In 2000, it was named "Xiaokang town" by Dazhou Municipal government. It was approved as a national key demonstration town in 2014.

On December 18, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Dazhou city to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Tongchuan District and other five counties (districts) (cfzm [2019] No. 21): Jingan Township and Xinjie Township were abolished, the administrative areas of former Jingan Township and former Xinjie Township were put under the jurisdiction of Ren Town, and Ren Town People's government was stationed at No. 166, group 2, cucumidian village.

It has jurisdiction over 2 community residents committees of Xinkang and Heping, 7 residents groups, 13 villages and 116 villagers groups of Liangfengya, hongqiqiao, cucurbitary, Guanyinge, Xinmiao, gaoqiaoba, huachaomen, Xiangshuitan, longwanggou, sanqingmiao, xijiaba, huangnigao, wannianmiao, etc.

The total population was 57138 (2017). There are eight ethnic minorities, including Tujia, Tibetan and Hui.

Geography and geomorphology

It is a typical agricultural town and an important economic and cultural town in Kaijiang County. It has a very advantageous geographical location, climate, mineral resources, transportation and market town planning and development conditions.

Historical evolution

It was called renshipu in ancient times. In the Qing Dynasty, there was an envoy of Xingtai flute school staying here, and Kui Sui association would be stationed here every year. In 1906 (the 32nd year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty), it was called Renshi township. In December 1932 (21 years of the Republic of China), Renzhen was renamed; in March 1952, Renshi was abolished and divided into five townships, including Renshi; in November 1985, Renshi was renamed.

The pottery carving memorial archway, a unique national cultural relic protection unit in Northeast Sichuan built in 1802, is located here. In 1994, Renshi Guanyin Temple (Guanyin temple, Jiangxi Temple) was approved by the county government to resume Buddhist activities. In 2003, it was listed as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

Renshi town is the political, economic, cultural and commodity logistics trading center of surrounding towns. With developed transportation and convenient transportation, there are more than 200 passenger and freight cars, which can directly reach Wanzhou District, Chongqing City, Dazhou City, Liangping County, Kaizhou District, Kaijiang County, etc.

By the end of 2005, the reconstruction of the old street has been basically completed, and the construction of the new street has taken shape. The town has hardware and electricity, department stores, food, chemical industry, steel rolling, building decoration industry. There are 4 professional markets, 2 comprehensive markets, 204 individual and private enterprises, 688 industrial and commercial households, and the backbone enterprises include steel rolling, machine coke, flour processing, rock brick, Sichuan pear Bioengineering Co., Ltd., phosphate fertilizer, bamboo products, etc. Sericulture, honey pomelo, ginkgo, aquatic products, vegetables, olive, Rex Rabbit breeding and other comprehensive development. The white radish in Huluba, tofu in the street, yangban duck and Tangban duck in the town are delicious and crispy. They are famous both inside and outside the county. Some of them are also exported to Chengdu, Chongqing and other places.

The town has achieved rapid economic development. In 2003, the gross domestic product of the town was 135.07 million yuan, the total output value of industry and agriculture was 100.72 million yuan, the financial revenue was 2.52 million yuan, the investment in fixed assets was 42.18 million yuan, the per capita net income of farmers was 2148 yuan, the grain output was 16212 tons, and the investment was 30 million yuan.

The hardware products of this town are exported to Southeast Asian countries, and aluminum chloride is the best seller in the international market. High quality bamboo mat has a good reputation at home and abroad. At the end of 2005, the GDP of the whole town was 202.57 million yuan, including 75.18 million yuan for the primary industry, 37.97 million yuan for the secondary industry and 89.42 million yuan for the tertiary industry. The town exports 15000 people of labor services and generates 39.59 million yuan of labor income.

The total annual grain output was 19860 tons, meat 6317 tons, vegetables 23220 tons and fruits 1723 tons. The per capita net income of farmers is 2851 yuan.

Culture, education and health

Nine year compulsory education was popularized in 1996. In 2005, there were one complete middle school and one junior middle school, two central primary schools and eight village primary schools in the town. There are nearly 4000 senior high school students, 3193 junior high school students, 4582 primary school students and 420 teaching staff.

There are 8 kindergartens with 744 children, including 273 in the town center kindergarten.

There is a cultural station, including a cinema, a song and dance hall, a school for the elderly, a radio and television station, a gate court for the elderly, Tai Chi and Mulan Boxing venues. There are five bands, and the cultural and entertainment life of the masses is rich and colorful. Main attractions

There is Jiangxi temple in the town, which is located in Dashui alley. The environment is quiet and the building is very solemn. When you go to the temple in summer, you will feel cool and clean, which makes you feel happy. There are also Daofeng mountain, Guanyin Pavilion, Longwang cave, Mingqiao reservoir and shuanshiqiao outside Zhenzhen town. They are all very interesting, with beautiful scenery, tall pines and cypresses, and shady green trees. People in Ren town might as well feel it.

Pottery archway

Located at the entrance of Renshi Town, 35 kilometers south of Kaijiang County, it was built in 1882. It was built for his wife and concubine by Zhang Jiufeng, a five grade official of Qing Dynasty who was aided by the imperial court of Qing Dynasty. The archway is a four column, three door archway building.

The whole body of the archway is made of dozens of burnt and cast pottery pieces. The beams and columns are riveted and mortised, and the putty is chiseled. There is no need for iron. Four square columns and ten square beams form the square beam. The three gates are arched. At the bottom of the columns is xumizuo carved with lotus and thunder patterns. The front and back of the square columns and the two arches are pottery drums carved with Ruyi and flowers. The connection is firm, majestic and steady.

The inside and outside parts of the archway are engraved with colorful patterns. On the top of each column and the top of the pottery drum, there are hollow out engraved crouching lions. On the middle ridge of the archway, there are high relief sculptures of "two dragons in the sea of clouds". On the inside and outside sides of the archway below the ridge, there are solid plaques of "imperial edict". On the sides of the archway, there are sculptures of "Five Dragons holding edict". On the two plaques, there are guards of civil officials and military generals. On the horizontal square of the middle gate, there are sculptures of "shuangfengchaoyang".

There are more than 20 niches on the other surfaces of Huangliang, such as hollow relief, openwork drama, fairy tale scenes, and inscribed couplets. This unique pottery carving memorial archway in Northeast Sichuan is still in good condition after a hundred years of vicissitudes, reflecting the exquisite level of pottery making, painting and carving technology of Daba Mountain more than 100 years ago.

The memorial archway was announced as the third batch of provincial cultural relics protection units by the provincial people's Government in May 1991.

In May 2006, the Kaijiang memorial archway was merged with Hu's filial piety archway in Gantang Town, and was announced as the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.
