Xinxue Township

Xinxue township is located in the southwest of wusheng County. It was Longquan town in the Tang and Song dynasties. It belonged to deqingli Xingxue farm in the Qing Dynasty. It was renamed Xinxue farm in the third year of Guangxu (1911). It was abandoned in the Republic of China, adjacent to Zhongxin town in the East and Qingping town in the south, with Nanxi River as the boundary. It is across the river from Lushan town and Helong town of Hechuan City, bordering Wanlong town in the West and Longnu town and Huafeng town in the north. The terrain is high in the northeast and low in the southwest. The highest altitude is 381 meters, and the lowest altitude is 235 meters. The average annual temperature of the township is 17.8 ℃, and the rainfall is abundant. The average annual rainfall is 1010 mm, and the frost free period is 320 days. With an area of 22.57 square kilometers, the township has 11 villages and 115 communities, with a total of 9917 people (2017), mainly Han nationality. The township government is located in the northeast of the township, 15 kilometers away from the county.

The total cultivated area of the township is 13099 mu, including 7920 mu of farmland and 5179 mu of soil. The characteristic industries of Xinxue township are sericulture, live pig, sweet orange, and the main food crops are rice, corn, wheat, sorghum, etc. The enterprise is mainly composed of shale brick factory, precast slab factory, distillery and flour processing factory, with an annual output value of about 54 million yuan.

The territory has convenient transportation, with wandongqiao to the central town road, Yanxing road in the north and nine village level roads. It has one primary and secondary school, one basic school, more than 2200 students and more than 80 teaching staff.
