School running concept
At 2:30 p.m. on December 4, 2015, Southwest Jiaotong University held a cadre meeting in the Yanghua lecture hall of Emei campus and announced that. The overall orientation of Emei campus is as follows:
(1) The construction of a number of colleges. In terms of new disciplines and specialties, we should firmly implement the basic principle of running new disciplines and new specialties one by one when they are mature. Even if the discipline is mature, it can be implemented only after scientific demonstration and decision-making in strict accordance with the relevant provisions of the school on the construction of new disciplines and new specialties. At the same time, special training classes for high-speed railway international and compound talents and urban rail transit application-oriented talents will be set up.
(2) Build high-end training and research base. Among them, the related business of the College of distance and continuing education is located in Emei campus, which takes two years to realize strategic transfer; the joint office relationship between the College of international education and the international office is terminated, and the College of international education is a secondary unit directly under the school, which operates in a direct management mode and is located in Emei campus, responsible for overseas training, language teaching for international students in China and Chinese culture education.
(3) We will build a base for Chinese foreign cooperation in running schools. Led by the International Department, Chengdu railway related professional college, which will be running in Emei in 2016 and 2017, is directly responsible. Emei campus, academic affairs office and graduate school actively cooperate with each other to give priority to Promoting Sino foreign cooperation in railway related professional enrollment in Emei campus
