Tongfu town

Tongfu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Dongxing District, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northeast of Dongxing District, bordering Tianjia Town, Shuangcai town and Xindian township. According to the middle and upper reaches of xiaoqingliu River, it connects Neijiang River to the middle section of Shuangqiao, 17km away from Neijiang City, so the traffic is very convenient. Covering an area of 29.97 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 1 community and 11 administrative villages, with a total population of 10701 people (2017), and a cultivated land area of 12700 mu. It belongs to the shallow hilly landform of southern Sichuan, with subtropical monsoon climate, abundant rainfall, sufficient sunshine, long frost free period, mild and humid climate. It has fertile soil and rich water resources, and is one of the most important natural resources in Dongxing District It is an important production area in China. On March 10, 2016, Sichuan Provincial People's government officially issued the "Reply of Sichuan Provincial People's Government on Approving the adjustment of some township administrative divisions in Dongxing District of Neijiang City" (cfzm [2016] No. 2). The reply: Tongfu township was cancelled and Tongfu town was established.

In December 2019, with the approval of Sichuan provincial government, Tongfu town was cancelled, and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Tianjia town. Tianjia Town People's government was stationed at 71 old street.
