Chonghua town
Chonghua town, the hometown of Chinese gunpowder and master Haideng, is located in the north central part of Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province. Its geographical coordinates are about 104 ° 54 ′ ~ 104 ° 58 ′ E and 31 ° 47 ′ ~ 32 ° 09 ′ n. It borders Houba town in the East, Xiaoxiba town in the South and Yongsheng Town in the West and North. The town people's government is located in chonghuachang, 104 ° 58'e and 31 ° 57'n. The administrative area is about 98.36 square kilometers, which governs 1 residential community (gong'an community), 6 administrative villages (Lingxi village, Pingqiao village, Laojunshan village, Xingwang village, Tongxing village, Baibao Village), 84 villager groups, with a native population of 9229 households and 29519 people. The built-up area of the town is about 1.5 square kilometers, and the resident population of the town is more than 6500 (in 2020). Chonghuachang town is 43 kilometers away from Jiangyou City and 190 kilometers away from Chengdu, the provincial capital. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to Xiaoxiba station of Baocheng railway and 20 minutes to drive to Jiangyou North Station (Houba) of Beijing Kunming high speed railway.
Chonghua town has a long history and culture. It has a history of 2300 years since shijingli was set up in the 22nd year of emperor Zhaowang of Qin Dynasty (285 BC). It is a thousand year old cultural town. Laojunshan scenic spot in the north of the town area has beautiful natural scenery. It has the largest ancient nitrate cave site group in China so far. It is an important historical relic and historical data to study gunpowder, one of the "four great inventions in ancient China". In 2006, "Laojunshan nitrate cave site" was approved by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit. In 2007, "Zhonghua pyrotechnics" was listed in the first batch of Sichuan intangible cultural heritage list by Sichuan Provincial People's government.
On December 25, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Mianyang City (cfzm [2019] No. 27): Tongxing township was cancelled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Chonghua town, and the people's Government of Chonghua town was stationed at 377 Lingxi street.

Zitong county is located in Chonghua town. In the Western Han Dynasty, it was set up in Anye township (the township governs today's Houba), Deyang Pavilion (the pavilion governs today's YANMENBA) and shijingli (in today's Chonghua town).
In the first year of Yongping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (58th year), Deyang county was set up in the northwest of Zitong County, and Yanmen town was set up in the county. Shijingli suiting township was changed into Deyang county.
In the fourth year of the Yuan Dynasty (117). Deyang county government moved to Longfeng farm of Suining City, and Yanmen town was reduced to Deyang Pavilion. Shijingli is still under the jurisdiction of Zitong county.
In the eighth year of Yuankang (298) of the Western Jin Dynasty, Wan'an county was set up in the northwest of Zitong County, and Xianfeng township of Zitong county was set up. Shijingli still belongs to Wan'an County along with Ting and Xiang.
In 311, the government of Wan'an County moved to Luojiang County, and Anye township was renamed BEIXIANG. Shijingli is still under the jurisdiction of Zitong county.
In the fourth year of Yonghe (348) of the Western Jin Dynasty, Yinping county and Yinping county were set up in the northwest of Zitong County, and Yinping village in Xiaoxiba town was set up. The original North Township was renamed Xixiang. Shijingli still belongs to Yinping county.
In 553, Yinping county was renamed as Long'an county.
In 556, Long'an county was renamed Yinping county.
In the third year of Chunyou (1243) of the Southern Song Dynasty, the government of Xixiang Township, Yinping County moved to shijingli.
In the 22nd year of the Yuan Dynasty (1285), Yinping county was abolished, and the original administrative district of Yinping county was restored to Zitong county. Set up North Township, shijingli is North Township.
In the Ming Dynasty, BEIXIANG of Zitong county was renamed Shangxiang.
In 1646, Shangxiang township of Zitong County moved to shijingli, now chonghuachang.
In 1775, the name of Shangxiang was changed from Zhongxiang to Liujia. Yuanshijingli, today's Chonghua town is the third class A, with the jurisdiction of 2 Bao and 25 Pai.
In 1909, Zhongxiang of Zitong county was divided into four Jia (now Chonghua, Wensheng, Majiao, Houba, etc.) 15 Bao 246 platoons to establish Jing'an township.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the township league system was implemented. The former fourth grade A of Jing'an township was divided into 10 regiments, and the former third grade A was Chonghua regiment. For the first time, the place name was used as the name of the administrative region.
In 1918, Jing'an township was divided into six districts and seven districts. The seven district offices set up Chonghua field, which had five regiments: Chonghua, guojielou, Chongxing, bainanzi and dengjiaba.
In April of 1935, the workers' and peasants' Red Army formed the Soviet government of Chonghua County in Chonghua field, with two district Soviet governments, guojielou and shipingba, and five townships and 47 villages.
In August of the same year, the Chonghua regiment was set up as the Chonghua joint protection group, which has jurisdiction over Bao and Jia.
In August 1940, Chonghua joint insurance was transformed into Chonghua Township, which has 21 banbao under its jurisdiction (one of which is very small, only grade 2a and Grade 3A).
In March 1951, 21 banbao villages in Chonghua Township were transformed into villages. The first and second banbao villages, which were originally called by ordinal numbers, were renamed Huasheng village and Honghua village. Each of the following groups is changed into a rural or town resident group, which is still called by ordinal number.
On January 20, 1953, Zitong County officially transferred Chonghua, Wensheng, Qinglong (Majiao), Qingshou (Houba, qinglinkou) and other four townships to Jiangyou county.
In November 1955, the two townships of Xingshun and Shuangbai were abolished, and the 13 villages of the two townships and the three villages of Shuanghe, Honghua and Daxing in Wuxing Township were transferred to Chonghua township for jurisdiction.
On January 1, 1958, Chonghua township was transformed into Chonghua Township People's commune, with 12 villages under it.
In January 1984, the people's commune of Chonghua township was changed into Chonghua township.
On January 20, 1990, with the approval of Sichuan provincial government, Chonghua township was officially abolished and Chonghua town was established as the original township administrative region.
In November 2003, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the abolition of the town neighborhood committee and the establishment of public security community.
On August 30, 2010, with the approval of the higher authorities, Huasheng and Honghua villages of the town were abolished and merged into Huahong village; Shuangbai and Shiping villages were abolished and Shuangshi village was established.
In December 2019, Tongxing township will be abolished, and its administrative area will be put under the jurisdiction of Chonghua town. The people's Government of Chonghua town will be stationed at 377 Lingxi street.

Chonghua Township
When shijingli was set up in the 22nd year of emperor Zhaowang of Qin Dynasty (285 BC), its jurisdiction consisted of four villages, namely Huahong village, Shuanghe village, Shuangbai village and collective village, 19 villages in Tongxing Township and six villages in Xiaoxiba Town, including WULIBA village, shenlonghe village, Huahua village, liyukou Village, Wuyi village and Renmin village, covering an area of about 60 square kilometers.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), Chonghua township was transformed from the third grade A of Zhongxiang township to the third district of Chonghua township. Among them, the new 17th village is hekouba village of Yongsheng Town. 18 Bao is now Xiaoxiba town civil affairs, Zhaojiahe village, covering an area of about 103 square kilometers.
In January 1953, Chonghua township was divided into four townships. Chonghua Township only governs five villages, namely, Minzhu, Qianjin, Xinyi, Huasheng and Shengli, covering an area of about 6 square kilometers.
In August 1955, the two townships of Xingshun and Shuangbai were abolished, and the 13 villages of the two townships and the three villages of Shuanghe, Honghua and Daxing in Wuxing Township, a total of 16 villages, were included in Chonghua township. Together with the original five villages, a total of 21 villages were adjusted to 12 villages, covering an area of about 60 square kilometers.
In September 1992, Tongxing township was designated as Chonghua town, covering an area of 103.62 square kilometers. The town government set up an office in the original township government, and the cadres and the masses had great opinions. In November 1995, the provincial government approved the establishment of Tongxin Township from Chonghua town. It still covers an area of 63.482 square kilometers.
Xingshun Township
In the eighth year of Yongzheng reign (1730) of the Qing Dynasty, it was designated as the sixth grade A of Jiangyou county. It consists of Guangli, Shiping and Xingshun villages in Chonghua town, Pingqiao and Fusheng villages, Renhe and Anshun villages in Wensheng Township, Taba (4 Bao) in Erlang Town, chenshui, Gangbao, mutongxi villages in Majiao town and Fengxiang Village (13 Bao) in Fengshun township. In 1793, sanxingchang was built to prosper the city, and Daoguang set up a rural regiment.
In 1929, the name of Xingshun township was changed and the temple of fire was set up. In July 1935, the township joint insurance was set up, with 14 under its jurisdiction. In 1949, it was renamed Xingshun Township Office.
In January 1950, the three guarantees of chenshui, gangpu and mutongxi were set aside and merged into the new chenshui township. In January 1951, Fengxiang village was designated and merged into new Liuhe Township. In March 1952, Renhe and Anshun villages were designated and merged into Xinjian Renhe township. In April 1953, part of Shiping village was designated and merged into the new Shuangbai township. In November 1955, xiaoxingshun township was abolished. The township originally belonged to four villages and merged into Chonghua township.

On January 20, 1990, with the approval of the provincial government, Chonghua township was officially abolished and Chonghua town was established as the original township administrative region.
