MaoGong Township
MaoGong township is located in the west of Yanting County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. It is the first township to enter Yanting from Mianyan high-grade highway. In the northwest, mianxi Expressway passes through Zhujiawan tunnel from west to East in Zhongxiao Township, Santai County, and then crosses Zijiang River between tongpo and Bailin villages, and extends to Xichong through dongguangmiao and Yanting. The township government is 18 kilometers away from the county, covering an area of 54.18 square kilometers. It governs 16 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 109 villager groups and 5 resident groups.
In December 2019, with the approval of Mianyang Municipal People's government, MaoGong township was abolished and gaoqu town was established. The administrative areas of Xiushan community, Jiefang village, Tieya village, Shuanglin village, Tongling village, Qunle village, Shichuan village, Mameng village, gaoqu village, baishiya village, Juxing community, Yumin village, Fenglin Village, Tonghe village and Wuli Village in MaoGong Township were put under the jurisdiction of gaoqu Town, and gaoqu town was inhabited by people The people's government is stationed at 11 Weihe street.

Evolution of organizational system
It is said that in ancient times, there was a man named maoyuweng who fished here to help the poor. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, he built the farm and named it MaoGong. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, Yanting County had three townships, Anle, Yongxian and Leping. Maogongchang and Zhangbang temple were all Anle townships. in the 25th year of the Republic of China, Mao Gong Lianbao was established and stationed in Mao Gong Chang; Lianghe Lianbao was established and belonged to Zhangbang temple. in the 29th year of the Republic of China, the "new county system" was implemented, the joint protection was abolished, and Zhenjiang township was established, which belonged to maogongchang, zhangbangsi and Lianghekou. In 1951, the land reform was completed and the democratic government was established. MaoGong Township, Zhangbang Township and Lianghe township (now Lianghe town) were established. In 1958, during the period of people's communization, MaoGong commune and Zhangbang commune were established. In 1984, the establishment of the commune was abolished, and MaoGong and Zhangbang townships were established, belonging to Lianghe district. In 1992, Mao Gong and Zhang Bang merged to form Mao Gong Township, where Mao Gong was stationed. in December 2019, the organizational system of MaoGong township will be abolished, and its jurisdiction will be integrated into the newly established gaoqu town.

In 1992, after the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, MaoGong Township had jurisdiction over the administrative areas of MaoGong and Zhangbang and Shichuan village of Lingrui Township, a total of 16 administrative villages. in 2015, after living together, MaoGong Township governed Xiushan community and 10 administrative villages.
