Jindu Township
Jindu Township, Santai County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province covers an area of 13.2 square kilometers. The township governs six administrative villages. There are 500 hectares of land, 470 hectares of arable land, and 0.95 mu of land per capita. There are three main rivers. The total population is 4025 (2017).
On December 26, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's government agreed to cancel Jindu Township in Santai County, Mianyang City, and put its administrative region under the jurisdiction of Le'an Town, which is located at No. 22 fule street.
Evolution of organizational system
Jindu township was under the jurisdiction of xingri Township, Xilu, Santai County (in Guanyinchang, now Xiping town) in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. In the 14th year of the Republic of China, there were many wars in Sichuan, and the League training organizations were strengthened in various places, with the upper and lower levels set up separately. Jindu belongs to xingri village group training (in Wan'an temple, now Wan'an town). In 1958, the people's commune was established under the jurisdiction of Wan'an commune. In February 1962, Jindu commune was set up in some villages of Wan'an commune. The commune is located in the Pure Land Temple. According to the meaning of "strive to develop production, strive for advancement, and participate in the capital group Yinghui" and the homonym of pure land / Jindu, Jindu is named. In January 1984, it was changed to Jindu township. It belongs to Gujing area. in October 1992, the district was withdrawn and the township was built. Incorporated into Wan'an town as Jindu office. In January 2000, it was designated as Jindu township. in December 2019, Jindu township will be merged into Le'an town to form a new Le'an town.
