Duanshi Township
DuanShi township of Santai County is located at the confluence of streams and rivers, 9 kilometers away from the county in the north, Zhongxin town in the East, Xinsheng town in the south, Xiaxin Township and Luban town in the west, and Tongchuan town in the north. The township is named after a broken stone arch bridge. The territory is located in shallow hills, with flat dam. In 2001, the total area of the township was 23.41 square kilometers. The township governs 8 administrative villages and 1 town residents committee.
On December 25, 2019, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, it is agreed to cancel Yulin town and put its administrative area under the jurisdiction of DuanShi township. Duanshi Township People's government is located at No. 7 Fumin Street.
General situation
The total population is 8161 (2017). There are 2300 hectares of land, 603 hectares of arable land, and 0.7 mu of land per capita. There are 4 main rivers, and Xinhe is the largest, with a total length of 8 km. There are three tourist attractions. The vegetation area is 650 hectares, the forest area is 786 hectares, and the forest coverage rate is 37%. The annual average temperature is 16.8 ℃, the annual precipitation is about 802 mm, and the frost free period is 280 days. The territory has superior water conservancy conditions, with 25 electric irrigation stations. The main and branch channels of Luxiang are 45 km in length, controlling irrigation throughout the territory. Shale, oil and natural gas are abundant in reserves, and oil wells have been drilled

Duanshi Township, located 9 kilometers south of the county, is adjacent to Zhongxin in the East, Xinsheng in the south, Yulin in the West and Tongchuan in the north. In September 1992, DuanShi township was set up with two offices in Duanshi and Yulin. In January 2000, Yulin set up an independent township.
It covers an area of 23.41 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 8 villages and 82 villager groups, with a total population of 8161 (2017), including 12601 agricultural population, 602.6 hectares of cultivated land, 786 hectares of forest, and 37% of forest coverage.
Evolution of organizational system
In December 2019, the people's Government of Santai County abolished Yulin town and put its administrative area under the jurisdiction of DuanShi township.
In the early Qing Dynasty, Santai County set up 4 roads and 28 townships. Duanshi and Yulin are under the jurisdiction of nutu Township in Nanlu.
In 1715, Xinmiao temple was built in Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. At the beginning of Guangxu period, Xinmiao temple was established in this place. It was named after the temple, and was used to be xinmiaozi.
In 1741, Duanshi bridge was built. At first, it was planned to build a flat bridge, and the slab stone was transported to the site. After it was broken, it was changed into an arch bridge, which later was called broken stone bridge.
In the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, a stone bridge was built on the xiaxinludou River, which is called Xinqiao. Because of the same name as another new bridge in the upper reaches of Kaijiang River (now shangxinqiao), it is named xiaxinqiao according to its upper and lower position.
In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, Xinmiao temple, duanshiqiao and xiaxinqiao were under the jurisdiction of nutu township. The township is located in Xinmiao Temple (Xinmiao field, Jingjing town).
In the eighth year of the Republic of China, duanshiqiao was established and named after the bridge.
In the ninth year of the Republic of China, all localities strengthened the organization of League training and set up League training offices in the upper and lower rural areas. She went to the countryside to stay in Duanshi bridge and Xinmiao temple.
In the 14th year of the Republic of China, xiaxinqiao Xingchang was named yongxingchang. In the same year, tuanlian office was changed to tuanjia office, with Xinmiao temple and duanshiqiao tuanjia office.
In the 19th year of the Republic of China, xiaxinqiaowei tuanjia office was added.
In the 24th year of the Republic of China, the division was set up and the joint insurance was changed. Set up Xinmiao joint protection, broken stone joint protection and xiaxinqiao joint protection.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China, it pursued the "new county system". Xinmiao Township, Duanshi Township and Xiaxin township are set up.
In 1951, the land reform was completed and the democratic government was established. Three townships, Xinmiao, Duanshi and Xiaxin, are still set up. From Xinmiao and Duanshi, some villages were divided into Hejia Township and huangjiayaodianzi township; from Xiaxin Township, Yulin Township and Sanjiao temple were set up.
In 1958, Duanshi, Yulin, Xinmiao and Hejia communes were established respectively.
In 1984, it was re established as Duanshi Township, Yulin Township, Xinmiao Township and Hejia township.
In 1992, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Duanshi and Yulin merged to form DuanShi township; Xinmiao and Xiaxin merged into Gujing town.
In 1995, Xiaxin township was designated as township; in 2000, Yulin township was designated as township.
In 2017, Yulin township was replaced by Yulin town.
In 2019, xiaxinxiang will be merged into Gujing town again. Yulin town and Duanshi Township merged to form a new DuanShi township.
administrative division
By the end of 2019, DuanShi township has jurisdiction over duanshiqiao and yulinchang, 2 Town neighborhood committees, 17 administrative villages and 177 villager groups.
On April 10, 2020, Santai County adjusted the village level organizational system of DuanShi county. The original 19 village level organizational systems (17 villages and 2 communities) were adjusted and merged to reduce 10 village level organizational systems. The specific adjustment plan is as follows:
1. Gaogou village, Yunlong village and Gaoya village will be merged and Yunlong village will be set up. The office will be located in the former Yunlong village;
2. To merge Baiyang village, caiba village and tanqiao village, and set up Baiyang village with its office in the former Baiyang village;
3. Merge Zhonghe village and Yushun village, set up Yuhe village, and the office is located in Yushun village;
4. Merge Dawang village, Dashi village and feifeng village, and set up feifeng village with its office in Dashi village;
5. Xintian village and Xianfeng village will be merged to establish Xianfeng village, and the office will be located in the former Xianfeng village;
6. Merge Sanjian village and upstream village, set up upstream village, and the office is located in the former upstream village;
7. Merge Sanli village and Tumen village, set up Sanli village, and the office is located in the former Sanli village.
8. Change the name of Yulin town community to Yulin community and Duanshi Township community to Duanshi community.

In 2005, the price of the first, second and third industries was 22.07 million yuan, 4.67 million yuan and 6.08 million yuan respectively; the total agricultural output value (90 constant price) was 16.87 million yuan, including 7.75 million yuan for agriculture, 39 million yuan for forestry, 8.54 million yuan for animal husbandry and 19 million yuan for fishery; the fiscal revenue was 795200 yuan and the net income per capita was 2953 yuan; the total grain output was 6013 tons, 583 tons for oil, 3387 tons for vegetables and 566 tons for fruits; and the number of live pigs sold was 13632 There are 3078 sheep, 527 cattle, 92100 livestock, 389 tons of eggs and 450 tons of aquatic products; the current output value of township enterprises is 33.61 million yuan, the added value is 8 million yuan, the financial revenue is 795200 yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers is 2953 yuan.
