Rongbian town

Rongbian town is located in the southwest of Ziliujing District, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, 10 km away from the urban area. It is adjacent to Shuping street, Zhongquan Town, feilongxia Town, Jianshe Town, Changtu town and Qiaotou town of Gongjing district. The town covers an area of 28.24 square kilometers, with a population of 13147 (in 2017), 12 administrative villages, 104 villager groups, 1 community neighborhood committee, 16 party branches, 364 party members and 34 staff members, including 7 leaders. There are 1 middle school, 1 primary school, 1 health center, 6 health service points and 12 convenience pharmacies in the area.

The town has 14777 mu of arable land and 10788.5 mu of forest land, with a forest coverage rate of 25.23%. There are 2.64 million cubic meters of water resources in the south, more than 18000 mu of farmland irrigated by Shengli reservoir, Xushui River in the north, and six irrigation stations built along the river to irrigate more than 5000 mu of farmland. The land is fertile and the agricultural infrastructure is sound.

In September 2018, rongbian town was selected into the demonstration construction list of strong agricultural towns.

Rongbian town is 6 kilometers away from Ziya Road, 12 kilometers away from Neiyi expressway, 8 kilometers away from Zigong South Railway Station, Wufu road and Mazhi road across the town. Focus on creating industrial highlights, mainly planting red pepper and white Agaricus bisporus as the characteristics of vegetable planting area of 1300 mu, animal husbandry mainly focus on live pigs, build Hongsheng pig farm with 100 sows in stock, the town's second crossbred sows stock has reached 160, with an annual output of nearly 4000 high-quality piglets and 21800 live pigs. There is a new breakthrough in aquaculture, and the scale of aquaculture has reached more than 250 mu. The main fruits are navel orange, watermelon and golden pear, especially rongbian navel orange, which is famous in Zigong.

We should adhere to the principle of attracting investment, focus on cultivating backbone enterprises and supporting pillar industries, and strive to create a good investment environment. Further strengthen the guidance and service to the existing enterprises, effectively expand the total economy of the town, and initially form an industrial cluster based on machinery manufacturing. There is one industrial enterprise above the designated size in the town, and the total output value of industries above the designated size reaches 6.5 million yuan; the total output value of township enterprises reaches 224 million yuan.

Jianshan natural scenic spot, a national AA level natural scenic spot, is located in Jianshan village, rongbian town. It is the town's unique resource advantage. Since 1982, it has received more than 5.5 million tourists, of which 2 million people have been attracted by the six peach blossom fair. Jianshan peach blossom Fair has become a famous tourism brand in the town. Up to 2006, it has been continuously developing It successfully held seven Jianshan peach blossom fair, three pomegranate flower fair and one dragon boat fair, forming the characteristics of "green mountains, clear water, secluded forest and red peach", enjoying a high reputation in the surrounding areas.

Gantang village of rongbian town is one of the new rural construction pilot villages in 2006. Gantang village is located in the central and southern part of rongbian town. Wufu Road, a county-level highway, runs through the whole village from north to south, 17 kilometers away from Zigong City. It is the only way to enter Jianshan nongtuan scenic spot. The village covers an area of 3804.4 mu, with a population of 1687 and 491 farmers. There are three rural cultural and entertainment teams with folk characteristics in the village, namely, dragon lantern team, niu'er lantern team and lotus picking fleet. They have performed in the City Lantern Festival and Spring Festival fete for many times and are very popular with the public.

The new rural construction of Gantang village mainly relies on Jianshan nongtuan scenic spot to develop rural folk custom tourism. Focusing on the rural characteristics, Gantang village will be built into a rural folk custom tourism village integrating leisure and entertainment, sightseeing and tasting, learning and participation through industrial development, supporting infrastructure and improving management mechanism.

On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name rongbian town as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.
