Xiangfu town

Xiangfu Town, Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is located in the south of Qingbaijiang District, at the junction of Qingbaijiang District and Xindu District, 12 km away from the center of Chengdu, 4 km away from Dawan Town, the seat of Qingbaijiang District government. It is the main urban area of Qingbaijiang, adjacent to Chengxiang town and Yaodu town in the East, Longwang Town in the south, Longhu town and Taixing Town in the west, and Dawan town in the north. Xiangfu Town, covering an area of 44.42 square kilometers, governs 15 administrative villages and 2 communities with a total population of 49187 (2017). Xiangfu town is the north gate of Chengdu. In 2000, Xiangfu town was named as the provincial pilot town of small towns. In 2004, Xiangfu town was named as the national key town by the national development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of construction and other six ministries and commissions.

In December 2019, Chengdu Municipal People's government decided to abolish Xiangfu town.

Historical evolution

Kangjiadu, the residence of the town government, was originally named qinglongchang. It was built in 1762 A.D. and has a history of more than 300 years. Xiangfu was founded in 1940. Because there is a Xiangfu Temple (150 meters northwest of the intersection of chengjinqing express way and freight Avenue) not far away from the town, it was renamed Xiangfu for God's blessing. From the early years of the Republic of China to the founding of the people's Republic of China, Xiangfu township has been under the jurisdiction of Jintang County. On January 1, 1981, it was transferred to Qingbaijiang District of Chengdu City. In 1998, it was issued by Qingfu of Qingbaijiang District People's Government (1998) 10 No. 7 document approved the abolition of Xiangfu Township and the establishment of Xiangfu Town, with the original administrative region unchanged. In June 2004, according to the unified arrangement of the urban area, the administrative division was adjusted, and the original Rixin town was merged into Xiangfu town.

In December 2019, Chengdu Municipal People's government decided to abolish Xiangfu town.

General situation of villages and towns

Xiangfu town is located in Chengdu Plain, with flat terrain, crisscross canals, crisscross fields and fertile soil. The main rivers are Pihe River, yangcha River and Xijiang River. The main irrigation canals are South four branch canal, Longmen branch canal, North Main Canal, Yangliu branch canal, Xiangfu canal and Xingfu canal, with a total length of about 144 km. The main natural disasters are flood and drought.

The annual average temperature is 16.2 ℃, the annual average rainfall is 911.68 mm, and the annual average sunshine is 1238.9 hours. With good ecology, rich products and water resources, the Bihe River and Xijiang river run through the whole area. Among them, the Bihe river flows through the town for 8 kilometers, which is the upper outlet of Chengdu City and the upper bank of Qingbaijiang river. Xiangfu town set up two rural credit cooperatives, international and domestic capital settlement, quick and convenient exchange. Xiangfu town has convenient transportation. Dashi road and Longzhao road are connected with Chengdu Mianyang expressway, Chengnan expressway, national highway 108 and Tangba road. The free urban trunk road Chengqing Expressway with a width of 65 meters and Chengjin Expressway with a width of 26.5 meters pass through the whole area, making Xiangfu town a highway transportation hub from Eastern Sichuan and Northern Sichuan to the provincial capital Chengdu. Chengdu Dalian railway and north ring line cross the border, connecting Chengdu container center station, Chengdu International Container Logistics Park and Chengdu Railway North Marshalling Station.

Xiangfu town government is 4km away from Qingbaijiang railway station, 2km away from North Marshalling Station of Chengdu Railway, 2km away from Chengdu container center station, the largest container station in Asia under construction, and 1.5km away from Huatie international storage and transportation company. It can handle one customs clearance and three inspection procedures for foreign trade on the spot, and collect containers to reach ports all over the world. It is an important area for Chengdu to develop logistics and service industry.

Xiangfu town is rich in power resources, with 35kV and Longwang 110kV substations supplying power for industry, agriculture and residents. Village and town system

Xiangfu town has initially formed a four level system of market town, central village, grass-roots village and natural village. The town is the center of the whole town, each central village is the center of each administrative village, and the grass-roots village is the center of each villager group, which is connected with the central field through the village road. The whole village system is a single center radial structure. Xiangfu town is the political, cultural and commercial service center of the town, and its functions are reflected through the government, supply and marketing cooperatives, health centers, primary and secondary schools and other town level social service facilities, with centralized power supply, water supply and other infrastructure.

The central village is the place where the village committee of each administrative village is located.
