Yongdong Township
Yongdong Township, subordinate to Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the northeast of Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County. It is 35 kilometers away from Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County Government, with a total area of 64.8 square kilometers.
In the first year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty (1736), Yongdong, which was originally a song nongdong made by Tusi, was put under qingpingli; in July 2001, Yongxing Township and Chuanhe Township were merged into Yongdong township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in 11790 villages was in the rural area. As of June 2020, Yongdong village has eight administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the Township People's government is stationed in Yongdong village.
The main food crops in Yongdong township are rice, corn, soybean, potato, etc.; the main animal husbandry is sheep and poultry; the main industry is silicon mine and coal mine. History of construction
In the first year of Qianlong (1736) of Qing Dynasty, Xiushan County was built and the land was changed to Liuliu. Yongdong, which was originally a song nongdong made by Tusi, was put under qingpingli. In the reign of Daoguang (1835), Yongdong began to open a business market and was named "Yongxing". Yongdong township was named "Yongxing" because of the homonym of "Yong" and "Yong".
In 1938, Yongxing Town was established, belonging to the second district.
In August 1951, Yongxing township was rebuilt, belonging to the Fifth District.
In July 2001, Yongxing Township and Chuanhe Township were merged into Yongdong township.
