Zhongling town
Zhongling Town, subordinate to Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County. It is adjacent to Meijiang town in the East, Lanqiao town and lengshuixi Township in Guizhou Songtao Miao Autonomous County in the south, Aikou town in the west, Pingkai street and Xiaoxi Township in the north. It is 22 kilometers away from the residence of Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County Government, with a total area of 165.61 square meters Kilometers.
In the first year of Qianlong (1736) of the Qing Dynasty, Zhongling town belonged to Meili. On March 30, 2011, Zhongling town was replaced by Zhongling town. History of construction
Zhongling town is named after Zhongling mountain.
In 1736, Xiushan was divided into 11 Li, belonging to Meili.
In 1914, Zhongling township was built. In 1927, it belonged to the third district. In 1943, it belonged to the Fifth District. In 1946, it was transferred to the second district. In 1947, it was the sixth supervision area.
In 1949, it belonged to the fifth guidance area.
In October 1951, it belongs to the second district.
In 1953, Zhongling was divided into seven townships: Zhongling, Longtang, Kaibao, Geli, Zhongxi, Huangla and Hongsha.
In November 1956, Zhongling and Zhongxi townships were transferred to Meijiang district.
In September 1958, Zhongling Township and Zhongxi Township were transformed into Zhongling commune and Zhongxi commune.
In 1983, Zhongling commune and Zhongxi commune were changed from commune to Zhongling Township and Zhongxi township.
In July 2001, Zhongxi township was merged into Zhongling township.
On March 30, 2011, Zhongling township was changed from township to town.
