Xixinxiang

Xixin Township, subordinate to Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, bordering Xinle Township in the East, Wendou Township and Huanghe town of Shizhu County of Lichuan City in Hubei Province in the south, Liutang Township in the west, Shasha town and Jinzhu Township in the north. It is 72km away from Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County Government, with a total area of 89.4 square kilometers.

In the early Ming Dynasty, Xixin township was transferred to Fengdu County; in November 1983, it was changed from Xixin commune to Xixin township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Xinxiang was 5088. As of June 2020, Xixin township has five administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located at No. 15 Longfeng street, Wanshou village.

History of construction

In the early Ming Dynasty, Nanbin county was transferred to Fengdu County.

In April 1942, it was assigned to Shizhu County.

In January 1950, Xixin township was established under the fourth district.

In 1958, Xixin township was changed into Xixin commune.

In November 1983, Xixin commune was changed into Xixin township.
