Tianyuan Township, subordinate to Wuxi County of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Wuxi County, connecting Zhongliang Township in the East, Hongchiba scenic spot in the south, Houping township of Chengkou County of Chongqing in the west, and Tucheng Township in the north. It is 80 kilometers away from the residence of Wuxi County Government, with a total area of 204.03 square kilometers.
During the Qing Dynasty, Tianyuan Township belonged to Jiujia, Shimenli, Daning County; in June 1983, it was changed from Tianyuan commune to Tianyuan township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Tianyuan was 8147. As of June 2020, Tianyuan rural has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in madouzi.
The main food crops in Tianyuan township are corn and potato; the economic crops are konjac and Codonopsis pilosula; the animal husbandry is mainly raising pigs, sheep and poultry. History of construction
In Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Jiujia of Shimenli in Daning County.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belongs to Tang hometown of the second district.
After December 1949, it belongs to Tang hometown of the Fifth District.
In March 1953, Tang's hometown was established as Tianyuan township.
In May 1955, Chaping township was merged into Tianyuan township.
In March 1958, Tianyuan commune was established in Tianyuan township.
In June 1983, Tianyuan commune was changed into Tianyuan township.
In September 2005, Gaolou township was merged into Tianyuan township.
