Baolong town
Baolong Town, subordinate to Wushan County of Chongqing, is located in the south of Wushan County. It is connected with Peishi Township and duping Township in the East, Dengjia Tujia Township in the South and Maotian Township in Jianshi County of Hubei Province in the south, Guandu town in the West and the Yangtze River in the north. It is 96 kilometers away from the residence of Wushan County Government, with a total area of 148.13 square kilometers.
Before 1949, the territory belonged to the first, fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth fort of Heliang Township and the second fort of Shiping Township in the third district; in April 1992, Luoyang, Qingfeng, Miaoliang and Baolong townships merged with Yunwu village of Changcao township to form Baolong town. By the end of 2018, the population of Baolong town registered residence was 27320. As of June 2020, Baolong town has one community, 17 administrative villages and the people's Government of Baolong town is located at 85 Lianhua street.
The main food crops in Baolong town are potato, corn and sweet potato; the main animal husbandry is raising live pigs, sheep, Rex Rabbit, colorful pheasant and other poultry; the main industry is coal and power generation. In 2018, Baolong town has 17 industrial enterprises and 18 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Before 1949, the territory belonged to No.1, No.14, No.15, No.16 fort of Heliang Township and No.2 fort of Shiping township.
After 1949, it belonged to Shiping district.
In February 1952, it belonged to the Fifth District.
In April 1953, Heliang township was divided into Baolong, Miaoliang and Xinglong townships; in October of the same year, two townships, Tutai and Daliang, were set up from Baolong township.
In March 1955, Tutai township was merged into Baolong township.
In April 1956, Daliang township was merged into Baolong township.
In April 1958, Baolong and Miaoliang townships merged to form Baolong commune.
In June 1960, Xiangshui commune was merged into Baolong commune, which is subordinate to Heliang district.
In July 1961, from Baolong commune, Xiangshui commune, Dashu commune and Miaoliang commune were established.
In April 1984, the township and village system was restored.
In April 1992, four townships of Luoyang, Qingfeng, Miaoliang and Baolong merged with Yunwu village of Changcao township to form Baolong town.
In September 1995, it set up Qingfeng Township and Luoyang Township from Baolong town.
In November 2003, Luoyang township was merged into Baolong town.

As of June 2020, Baolong town has one community and 17 administrative villages: Longhe community, Baolong village, ZIE village, Taohua village, Maping village, Yunwu village, Miaoliang village, Luoyang village, Jiguan village, Jiefeng village, Qingshi village, Xinhe village, Hejia village, Butou village, Huangchi village, rhinoceros village, Dashu village and Quanshui village. The town people's government is located at No. 85, Lianhua street.
