Kangping Township
Kangping Township, subordinate to Fengjie County of Chongqing, is located in the west of Fengjie County, adjacent to Zhuyi town in the East, Anping town across the Yangtze River in the south, Longdong township of Yunyang County in the West and Zhuyi town in the north. It is 25.6km away from the residence of Fengjie County Government, with a total area of 35.09km2.
In the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, Kangping township was located in the North Bank of Shuili; in 1983, it was changed from Kangping commune to Kangping township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of 13133 people in Kang Ping Township. As of June 2020, Kangping village has jurisdiction over one community, four administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in four groups of Xiaowan community.
The main food crops in Kangping township are rice, potato, wheat and sweet potato; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry. In 2018, Kangping township has two comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, it belongs to Shuili on the north bank.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to zhujiaba township.
In 1919, it belonged to the Zhuzi general group. In 1930, it belonged to Zhuzi township. In 1933, it belonged to Zhuyi and Zhuer townships in the third district. In 1935, Zhuyi and Zhuer were jointly protected in the first district. In August 1940, Zhuyi and Zhuer townships were merged into Zhuyi township. In 1941, Zhuyi township was divided into Zhuyi Township and Kangping township. In 1947, it was transferred to the fourth guidance area.
In 1949, Kangping township was the third guidance area.
After 1949, it belongs to Kangping Township, silent district.
In November 1958, Kangping township was changed into Kangping commune.
In 1983, Kangping commune was changed into Kangping township.
