Luyang Town, subordinate to Yunyang County of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Yunyang County, adjacent to Jiangkou Town and Nanxi town in the East, Gaoyang town and Shuanglong town in the south, Kaixian County in the northwest and houye Township in the north. It is 59 kilometers away from the residence of Yunyang County Government, with a total area of 53.6 square kilometers.
In the Ming Dynasty, Luyang town belonged to luyangli, Anyi Township, Yunyang; in September 1992, Luyang Township and Wenlong Township were merged into Luyang town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Luyang town was 36764. As of June 2020, Luyang town has one community and four administrative villages, and the people's Government of Luyang town is located in longwangqiao community.

History of construction
Luyang town is named after Luyang dam.
In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to luyangli, Anyi Township, Yunyang.
During the reign of Guangxu and Xuantong in Qing Dynasty, Luyang township was set up.
In October 1958, Luyang township was changed into Luyang commune.
In March 1984, Luyang commune was removed and changed into Luyang township.
In September 1992, Luyang Township and Wenlong Township merged into Luyang town.
In December 1998, Wenlong Township separated from Luyang town.
