Heyu town
Heyu Township, belonging to Chengkou County of Chongqing City, is located in the east of Chengkou County, bordering Dong'an town in the East, Gaoguan town in the south, Lantian Township in the West and Langao and Pingli counties in Shaanxi Province in the north. It is 39.8 km away from the residence of Chengkou county government, with a total area of 131 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, Heyu Township belonged to Qibao Liujia; in October 1984, Heyu commune was changed into Heyu township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Heyu township was 4955. As of June 2020, Heyu village has jurisdiction over one community and four administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Heyu community.
Corn and potato are the main food crops in Heyu Township, and mountain chickens, pigs and goats are the main animal husbandry. In 2018, Heyu township has 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the seven guarantees and six categories.
Qing Xuantong three years (1911), is the eastern Gaowang Township regiment.
In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), it belonged to Gaowang United Insurance of two districts. In the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937), it belonged to the Gaoguan joint insurance of the two districts. In 1941, it belonged to Gaoguan township of two districts.
In March 1953, it became an independent Township in the name of Donghe river.
In February 1954, Donghe township was divided into two small townships, Donghe and Heyu.
In January 1956, two small townships of Donghe and Heyu merged into Heyu township.
In September 1958, Heyu township was changed into Heyu commune.
In October 1984, Heyu commune was changed into Heyu township.
