Zhouxi Township, subordinate to Chengkou County of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Chengkou county. It is adjacent to Mingtong town in the East, Longquan Township of Xuanhan County in Sichuan Province in the south, Wanyuan city in Sichuan Province in the West and miaoba town in the north. It is 22 kilometers away from the residence of Chengkou county government, with a total area of 124.32 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, Zhouxi township was under the category of Babao Wujia; in October 1984, Zhouxi commune was changed into Zhouxi township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Zhou Xi township was 6612. As of June 2020, Zhouxi rural area has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in group 5 of Qingping village.

History of construction
Zhouxi township is named after Zhouxi river.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the category of eight guarantees and five ones.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Mingtong Township regiment of Southern District. In 1935, it belonged to Mingtong Lianbao. In 1940, it belonged to Mingxian township of three districts. In 1941, it belonged to the three districts of Ming township. In 1947, it belonged to Mingtong township of three districts.
In August 1952, it belongs to Mingtong township of four districts.
In March 1953, it broke away from Mingtong Township and became an independent Township in the name of Zhouxi.
In September 1958, Zhouxi township was changed into Zhouxi commune.
In October 1984, Zhouxi commune was changed into Zhouxi township.
