Shuanghuai town
Shuanghuai Town, belonging to Hechuan District of Chongqing, is located in the northeast of Hechuan District, adjacent to Qinghua town of Huaying City in Sichuan Province in the East, Sanhui town in the southeast, Xiaomian town in the southwest, Laitan town in the west, Longshi town in the northwest and Xianglong town in the north. It is 60 kilometers away from the people's Government of Hechuan District, with a total area of 95.1 square kilometers.
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), weizixi town was built in shuanghuai town; in April 2005, Weixi town and Huangtu town merged into shuanghuai town. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in Shuang Huai town was 56915. As of June 2020, shuanghuai town has 3 communities and 16 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located at No. 26, Wenming street.
In 2018, there were 24 industrial enterprises in shuanghuai Town, including 2 above scale and 44 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Weizixi river farm was built in 1662-1722 of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty; mingyueli of Hezhou in 1728 of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty; huangtuchang was built in Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty; weizixi and huangtuchang belonged to Sancai town in 1906 of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty.
In 1926, Weixi Township and Huangtu Township were set up, which belong to the third district. The district office was located in Weixi town. In 1931, Weixi town was established. In 1932, Weixi town was renamed Weizi town. At the end of 1939, Weizi town and Huangtu Township merged into Weixi town. In 1941, Weixi town was changed into Weixi Township, and Huangtu township was set up in Weixi town.
After December 1949, Weixi and Huangtu Township belong to the Tenth District.
In March 1951, Weixi Township and Shilong Township set up Liuxi township.
In July 1952, Weixi, Huangtu and Liuxi townships belong to Weixi District, and the district office is located in Weixi township.
In February 1953, Sanjue township was built from Huangtu Township, and welfare township was built from Weixi township; in March of the same year, shuanghuai Township and Nongdu Township were built from Weixi township.
In January 1956, Sanjue township was merged into Huangtu Township, Fuli Township into Weixi Township, and Nongdu Township into shuanghuai township.
In September 1958, shuanghuai township was merged into Weixi township to build Weixi commune and Huangtu commune.
In September 1959, shuanghuai commune was established by Weixi commune.
In December 1983, Weixi commune, Huangtu commune and shuanghuai commune were changed into Weixi Township, Huangtu Township and shuanghuai township.
In December 1993, Weixi District, Weixi and shuanghuai townships were abolished and Weixi town was built; Huangtu township was removed and Huangtu town was built.
In April 2005, Weixi town and Huangtu town merged into shuanghuai town.

By the end of 2011, shuanghuai town had one community under its jurisdiction, including 16 administrative villages including Longshi, Shangshang, shuanghuai, Hongxin, Yingyan, HEMA, dingba, Wenping, Xingwei, Changliang, Jieyin, shuangmen, xieba, Qinglong, Huangtu and Shibei, and 4 resident groups and 139 villager groups.
As of June 2020, shuanghuai town has 3 communities and 16 administrative villages: Shuangxin community, Huaicheng community, Shuangquan community, Wenping village, Longshi village, Shangshang village, Hongxin village, Xingwei village, Yingyan village, dingba village, Changliang village, Jieyin village, xieba village, Qinglong village, Huangtu village, Shibei village, shuanghuai village, HEMA village and shuangmen village. The town people's government is stationed at No. 26, Wenming street.
