Xianglong town
Xianglong Town, belonging to Hechuan District of Chongqing City, is located in the northeast edge of Hechuan District, bordering Yuechi County of Sichuan Province in the East, Qinghua town of Huaying City in the southeast, shuanghuai town in the south, Longshi town in the west, Luodu town and Sailong township of Yuechi County in the north, with a total area of 59.05 square kilometers.
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), shilongchang was built in Xianglong town. In December 1993, Xianglong town was established by merging Xianglu Township and Jiaolong township. By the end of 2018, the population of Xianglong town registered residence was 38412. As of June 2020, Xianglong town has 1 community, 11 administrative villages and the people's Government of Xianglong town is located at No. 17 Heping Street.
In 2018, there were 16 industrial enterprises in Xianglong Town, including one above scale and eight comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), shilongchang was built in Xianglong town; in the sixth year of Yongzheng of Qing Dynasty (1728), it belonged to mingyueli of Hezhou; in the thirty second year of Guangxu of Qing Dynasty (1906), it belonged to Sancai town of Hezhou.
Shilong Town was established in 1931, the third district of Hechuan county. In 1932, it belonged to the second district. In 1941, Shilong Town was changed into Shilong township.
In December 1949, it belonged to the Tenth District.
In July 1952, Shilong township was assigned to Weixi district.
In January 1953, gaota township was set up in Shilong township; in March of the same year, Xinjian township was set up in Shilong township.
In March 1956, Liuxi township was merged into Shilong Township, and some administrative villages of Sanjue Township were merged into Shilong township.
In September 1958, gaota and Xinjian townships were merged into Shilong Township and Shilong commune was established.
In September 1959, Shilong commune established a new commune.
In April 1968, Shilong commune was renamed Zhongdong commune.
In 1972, the original name of Shilong commune was restored.
In December 1983, Shilong commune was changed into Jiaolong township.
In December 1993, Xianglu Township and Jiaolong Township merged to establish Xianglong town.
