Yuelai street, belonging to Yubei District of Chongqing, is located in the west of Yubei district. It borders shuanglonghu street in the East, the new Northern District in the south, Jialing River in the west, Caijia town in Beibei District across the river, Shuitu town and Fuxing town in Beibei District in the north. It is 8 km away from the people's Government of Yubei District, with a total area of 22 square kilometers.
In the 25th year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1760), Yuelai street was set up around Yuelai street, which was changed from Yuelai town to Yuelai Street on December 7, 2007. At the end of 2011, the total population of Yuelai street was 16469. As of June 2020, Yuelai street has 7 communities under its jurisdiction, and its sub district office is located at No. 388, Jialing Road, Jialing Road community.

History of construction
In the 25th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty (1760), Yuelai market was set up in Yuelai street.
In September 1958, Yuelai commune was established.
In 1984, Yuelai commune was changed to Yuelai township.
On December 13, 1999, Yuelai township was rebuilt into Yuelai town.
On December 7, 2007, Yuelai town was changed into Yuelai street.
