Chaoyang Di Town, belonging to Weichang Manchu and Mongolian Autonomous County of Chengde City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeast of Weichang Manchu and Mongolian Autonomous County. It is adjacent to xiaoniuqun town in Kalaqin banner of Chifeng City in the East, Xindi town in the southeast, kelegou town in the south, yinwogou town in the southwest, Yangjiawan town in the West and northwest, Laofu town in Songshan District in the north, covering an area of 162.77 square meters Km, up to the end of 2018, the registered residence population of 19467 people.
In August 1945, it belonged to kelegou District of Weichang County. In March 1950, it belonged to the third district. In 1983, the commune was abolished and Chaoyang Di township was rebuilt. In January 1996, Beidao township was incorporated. In May 2000, the township was withdrawn and Chaoyang town was built. As of June 2020, Chaoyang town has 10 administrative villages.
In 2018, Chaoyang town has 3 industrial enterprises and 41 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In August 1945, it belonged to kelegou District of Weichang County.
In January 1947, it was assigned to Jianxi County, which is called six districts; in May of the same year, it was assigned to Weibei County, which is called kelegou district; in November of the same year, Weibei county was abolished and assigned to Weichang County.
In March 1950, it belonged to the third district.
In September 1958, it belonged to rocket commune.
In August 1961, rocket commune was abolished, and Chaoyang commune was established by seven brigades including Chaoyang, wenzhugou and Shiquanhe.
In 1983, the commune was abolished and Chaoyang Di township was rebuilt.
In January 1996, Beidao township was incorporated.
In May 2000, the township was withdrawn and Chaoyang town was built.
