Ganning town

Ganning Town, subordinate to Wanzhou District of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Wanzhou District. It faces Xintian town across the river in the East, Longsha town in the south, Xiangshui town in the West and Zhushan Township in the north. It is 34 kilometers away from the government of Wanzhou District, with a total area of 104.8 square kilometers.

In the Qing Dynasty, Ganning town belonged to sanzhengli and Sijia; in September 2004, Liangfeng Town, Ganning and Hekou Township merged into Ganning town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Gan Ning town was 53697. As of June 2020, Ganning town has 3 communities and 25 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Ganning town is located at 13 Qifang Road, Liangfengya.

History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to sanzhengli and Sijia.

In 1927, it was established in Ganning Township, Wanxian county. In 1938, the town was rebuilt.

In June 1950, it was restored to township.

In August 1961, the commune was established.

In September 1983, it was restored to township.

In September 2004, Liangfeng Town, Ganning Township and Hekou Township were merged into Ganning town.
