Maogan Township, subordinate to Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County of Hainan Province, is located in the west of Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, bordering Xiangshui town in the East, Xinzheng town in the southeast, Sanya City in the southwest, Changhao township of Wuzhishan City in the north, with an administrative area of 127.52 square kilometers.
In 1961, maogan commune was established. In 1983, the district office was established. In 1987, the township system was changed. By the end of 2018, 4639 households had registered residence in Mao Gan. As of June 2020, maogan township has four administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Shichun village, maogan village committee.
In 2011, the per capita income of maogan township was 4300 yuan. By the end of 2018, maogan Township had one industrial enterprise and nine supermarkets or comprehensive stores with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
