Wuwei town is located in the southwest of Jinchengjiang District, Hechi City, Guangxi Province. It is adjacent to Liuwei town and SANZHIYANG township of Du'an County in the East, Jiuwei town in the west, Banling township of Du'an County in the South and Hechi town in the north. It is a small town with growing economy. The town is connected with Shuinan highway in the West and Jinchengjiang District in the East. National Highway 323 passes through the town, so the traffic is very convenient. The town government is located in Wuwei street, 33 kilometers away from Jiangcheng District of Jincheng. The town covers an area of 160.80 square kilometers, including 1617.96 hectares of cultivated land, 1233.96 hectares of paddy field and 384 hectares of dry land. It belongs to the single cropping rice area. The main crops are rice, corn, sweet potato and soybeans. It focuses on the development of fruit industry and labor export.

There are more than 10 kinds of non-ferrous metals such as lead, zinc, antimony and gold in the area. The mineral products mainly for mining and processing are sold in and out of the area, enjoying the title of "hometown of non-ferrous metals". The citrus and grapefruit fruit has won the national "quality award" and "golden cup award", and it is also a well-known "hometown of citrus and grapefruit".
