Bada town

Bada Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Xilin County, Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the middle of Xilin County, bordering Puhe Miao Township in the East, Guangnan County in Yunnan Province in the south, Guzhang town in the West and Longlin Autonomous County in the north, with a total area of 371.65 square kilometers.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the administrative region of Xilong prefecture (Xilong county). In 1984, the township and village division system was restored, later known as Bada town. By the end of 2019, there are a total of 37249 people in 10687 households in Bada Town, including 24010 agricultural population, mainly more than 10 ethnic minorities such as Zhuang, Miao, Yao and Yi. By the end of 2019, Bada town has 13 administrative villages and 3 communities.

In 2016, the per capita net income of farmers in Bada town increased from 5838 yuan in 2015 to 6423 yuan, an increase of 9.1%. In 2018, there were 4 industrial enterprises in Bada Town, including 4 Enterprises above Designated Size and 8 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the administrative region of Xilong prefecture (Xilong county).

In 1933, Bada Special Administrative Region was set up in Xilong County, which governed Bada, Guzhang and mabeng. In 1935, Guangxi provincial government adjusted the administrative regions of Xilong and Xilin, and put Bada, Guzhang and mabeng under the jurisdiction of Bada Special Administrative Region of Xilong County into Xilin County.

In August 1951, the two counties of Xilin and Xilong merged and were called Longlin county (changed to Longlin Autonomous County in 1953). Bada was listed as the 12th district.

In 1958, the period of people's communization was called Gaofeng people's commune.

From 1961 to 1962, it was divided into Bada commune and Puhe commune.

In January 1963, it was merged and renamed Bada district.

In October 1968, it was renamed Bada commune. At the same time, it built the town with the original Bada Brigade (the seat of the county).

In 1984, the township and village division system was restored, later known as Bada town.

In 1984, the administrative region of Bada town was expanded, and the former Bada Brigade (Bada town) and the eight brigades of Bada commune, namely Tuhuang, Hongxing, Naka, Huagong, wangzi, Zhoubang, Longbao and popei, were combined into the administrative region of Bada town.

By the end of 2019, Bada town has 13 administrative villages including Bada, Naka, Hongxing, Tuhuang, Mucheng, Balong, Balin, Longbao, wangzi, Zhoubang, Huagong, popei and Xinda, and 3 communities in the south, middle and north of the city.

Bada town has the advantage of carrying Niang River by water and s321 highway by land. It is connected to Longlin de'e, Xinzhou and Xingyi City of Guizhou Province in the north, Luoping, Qiubei and Guangnan counties of Yunnan Province in the west, Xiping and Nazuo township of Xilin County in the south, and nalao and Baise in the East.

The ethnic minorities in Bada town have unique traditional culture and folk customs, such as the "Torch Festival" of Mabai Yi people, the "Bayin color tune" of Bada Zhuang people, and the "Tiaopo Festival" of Miao people.
