Naman town
Naman town is located in the southeast of Tianyang County, Guangxi. The town government is located in naman street, 32 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Tiandong County in the East, Wucun Township in the south, Qinhua Township in the west, and Baiyu Township across Youjiang River in the north. If you cross the river and Baiyu Township, it is less than 20 kilometers to the county. The total area of the town is 138.33 square kilometers, with karst landform in the south, accounting for 43% of the total area. The total population is 23149.
Historical evolution
The town belonged to Nanyue in the spring and autumn and Warring States period, Yelang in the Han Dynasty, Pubu in the Sui Dynasty, andandao in the Tang Dynasty, Fengyi Prefecture from the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, which was called naman Regiment (township). It was under the jurisdiction of Fengyi County in the Republic of China, first Zuodeng District, then the third district and naman district. After the establishment of the Soviet government in Fengyi County, there were five townships in naman District, namely Qie, Longguang, Longcan, Santong and Gengda. In the early days of liberation, it was divided into six districts. In 1958, Chaomei people's commune was established and soon changed to naman people's commune. In 1962, the district was established and the society was abolished. In 1968, it was renamed commune. It was changed to naman town in 1984.

In 1995, there were 13 villagers' committees in the town, which governed 13 villages: Santong, Neijiang, Ziqiang, Dacheng, Zhitang, Baigan, Xinli, Lumei, Guangqin, xinlou, Xinsheng, Xinlun and xinlou. There are 138 natural villages and 201 villager groups. The total number of households is 5489 and the total population is 23149, including 5026 agricultural households, 22100 people and 12147 labor force. There are 23711 mu of cultivated land, including 7080 mu of paddy field, 1.07 mu of cultivated land per capita, 2 reservoirs, 11 water conservancy engineering offices and electric irrigation stations, with a total irrigation area of more than 6000 mu. The total grain output is 7.72 million kg, and the per capita grain output is 355 kg, of which 4800 mu can produce tons of grain per mu annually. 13800 mu of vegetables are planted with an output of 12.6 million kg and an output value of 12.8 million yuan. The main fruits are banana 10072 mu, mango 20986 mu, red heart pitaya 1000 mu, Wogan 587 mu, golden passion fruit 300 mu, red heart pomelo 152 mu, big green jujube 246 mu, with forest area of 47274 Mu and forest coverage rate of 22.78%, including bamboo forest of 18000 mu, which is one of the bamboo development zones of "five hundred thousand Mu" project in the county. It has 882 mu of freshwater fish culture, with an output of 316000 kg. At the end of the year, there were 3994 farm animals, 16130 pigs and 6207 goats. The main minerals in the territory are gold, coal and oil. From 1956 to 1966, the central government mined gold in Lumei village, with a maximum annual output of 191.3kg. In 1995, there were 846 township enterprises with 1192 employees. The total income of township enterprises was 21.15 million yuan, the total income of the whole town was 40.78 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1073 yuan, 14.6 times higher than that of 1978, which was 68.71 yuan. The total power of agricultural machinery is 7820 kW, with 33 kW per 100 mu of cultivated land. There are 11 medium-sized tractors, 221 walking tractors, 32 vehicles of various types, 20 motor carriers, 81 diesel engines, 384 electric motors, 264 agricultural and sideline products processing machinery and 100 power threshers. The area of machine ploughing is 10500 mu, the area of machine harrow is 14000 mu, and the area of machine stripping is 14000 mu. In 1992, the Tianyang small watershed comprehensive treatment project of secondary development of red soil in China was carried out in Ganshang village of this town with a low interest and grace loan from the world bank. there is one junior high school (withdrawn in 2015), three central primary schools and 12 completed primary schools in the town. There are 12 university students, 523 senior high school students, 1825 junior high school students and 4886 primary school students in every 10000 people. The township hospital has 17 beds. There are 67 natural villages in 12 villages, and 64 natural villages in 12 villages have access to electricity. In 1995, the natural growth rate of population was 1.88 ‰.
Agricultural products
The five villages in the Youjiang River Valley of naman town have more than 47000 mu of fertile land, which is very suitable for planting rice, vegetables, peanuts, sugarcane, bananas and other crops; the three villages in the hills have a total area of 60810 mu, which is very suitable for developing sugarcane and bananas; the total area of Shishan District is 91620 mu, which can develop mulberry, silkworm, bamboo, medicinal materials and animal husbandry. Water resources mainly include Youjiang River, Tuolie River, Liuhua, Liuwan and Liugu reservoirs with a total capacity of more than 1 million cubic meters, 268 underground water tanks with a total capacity of 4268 cubic meters, and human and livestock drinking water projects. The main minerals in the territory are gold, coal and oil.
