Longwei town belongs to Longwei District, Wuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in the north of Longwei district and the South Bank of Xunjiang river. History of construction

Qin belongs to Guangxin County, Guilin county (221-207 BC). Han belongs to Cangwu county (206 BC-220 AD). The Three Kingdoms (Wu) belong to Xinning County, Cangwu county (221-208 AD). In the first year of Taikang (AD 280), the county of nongcheng was established. in the northern and Southern Dynasties (QI), nongcheng county was changed to Suicheng county. In 597 ad, Yu Qing, the Prime Minister of Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty, made a southern expedition and stationed troops here, so it was named Rongcheng. Later, Suicheng county was changed to Rongcheng county. in the Xianping period of the Song Dynasty (AD 998-1003), the county was abandoned and belonged to Wuzhou Prefecture. In the fourth year of the Xining period of the Song Dynasty (AD 1071), it was renamed Rongxu town. From yuan, Ming, Qing to the Republic of China, it was called Rongwei town. On November 25, 1949, Cangwu was liberated. On January 10, 1950, the people's Government of Cangwu county was established, and Rongwei is the first district of Cangwu county. In July 1951, it was renamed Longwei Town, still under the jurisdiction of District 1. In May 1952, the county moved from Wuzhou to Longwei town. In January 1955, Longwei was changed into Changzhou district. In 1957, it was changed into a town directly under the county. When the people's commune was established in 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Dapo commune. In October 1959, Chengguan commune was set up from Dapo commune. In June 1960, it was renamed Longwei town. In 1966, it was renamed Dongsheng town. since December 1971, it has been called Longwei town again. In April 1996, Longwei town and Linshui town were merged into Longwei town. on February 8, 2013, Longwei district was established in Longwei Town, Xindi Town, Guangping town and Dapo town of Cangwu County, and Longwei district government was stationed in Longwei town. The county was originally located in Longwei town and moved to Shiqiao Town in March 2013.
