Madi Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Longsheng Autonomous County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Longsheng Autonomous County. It is connected with Jiangdi Township in the East, Weijiang Township in the west, Sishui Township in the South and Wutuan town in Chengbu Miao Autonomous County in Hunan Province in the north, with an administrative area of 141.48 square kilometers.
At the beginning of the Republic of China, Madi set up the Eastern League Bureau and the Eastern League Bureau. In 1984, the commune was changed to Township, which was called MATI township. By the end of 2018, there were 3036 households and 11525 people living in Madi Township, with Miao, Yao, Dong, Zhuang, Han and other five ethnic groups, and 98% of them were ethnic minorities, mainly Miao and Yao. By the end of 2019, MATI rural has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages, and the township government is located near 146 county roads.
In 2018, Madi Township completed 1.46 million yuan in fiscal and tax revenue, 83.25 million yuan in fixed assets investment, 13.16 million yuan in total output value, including 10.48 million yuan in industrial output value, and 12.13 million yuan in operating revenue, with a year-on-year growth of 18.57%.
History of construction
At the beginning of the Republic of China, there were East Tuan Bureau and East Tuan Bureau in Madi; in 1933, Tuan Bureau was changed to Township Office.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, administrative organs such as districts, communes and townships were set up here.
In 1984, the commune was changed to Township, which was called MATI township.

There are 146 provincial roads (Longsheng Chengbu section) passing through Madi township. By 2005, 87.80% of the villages are open to traffic by roads, 60% of the villages are open to traffic by roads, and 100% of the villages are open to traffic.
History and culture
Ma Di township was originally named Ma ti. In the village, there was a big stone shaped like a horse's hoof, so it was named. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the hoof was changed into a dike.
