Nanjiangkou town
Nanjiangkou Town, subordinate to Yunfu City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northeast of Yunnan county, an important port town in Xijiang, and a provincial central town in Guangdong Province. The total area is 200.7 square kilometers. The town has 14 village committees and 1 community neighborhood committee. The total population is 28700 (2017), mainly Han nationality.
The main resources of Nanjiangkou town are phosphate rock and quartzite, and the specialty products are Jiangyou, longwoxiangli, Pinzhi and cinnamon. Nanjiangkou town is named because it is located at the confluence of Nanjiang River and Xijiang River. Located in the South Bank of the middle reaches of Xijiang River, it belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate zone, with annual average temperature of about 21 ℃ and mild climate.
In 2015, the total social output value of the town was 406 million yuan, with a growth rate of 68.46%.
History of construction
Nanjiangkou town belonged to Baiyue in Zhou Dynasty. At the end of Jin Dynasty, it belonged to Jinhua County and was once the seat of the county office. In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Taiping capital of Xining County, Luoding Prefecture, and was named xianpingjia. From the second year of the Republic of China (1913) to the early liberation, it was renamed Xianping Township, belonging to the Second District of Yunan County. In 1946, Taiping Township was merged with Shangsi (luopang) and Liyuan (Dixin). In September 1948, Taiping Township was divided into three small townships and Xianping township was restored. In 1950, Liantan was merged into the fourth district. In 1953, it was renamed Pingluo township. In 1957, it merged with Nandu Township and was named Nanjiangkou township. In December 1956, the original second district (Xianping township) was divided into two small townships, Nanjiangkou and Gupeng, which were still under the jurisdiction of the Fourth District of Liantan. In April 1958, Nanjiangkou and Gupeng merged into Nanjiangkou township. In October of the same year, the township was a management area of Dongfeng people's commune. In October 1961, Nanjiangkou people's commune was separated from Dongfeng people's Commune and merged with Xijiang people's commune the next year to be called Nanjiangkou people's commune. In August 1983, it was called Nanjiangkou district. In 1987, Nanjiangkou town was built.

Location context
The central area of Nanjiangkou town is located in the northeast of Yunan County, 111 ° 49 ′ E and 22 ° 07 ′ n, adjacent to yun'an District in the East, Lidong and Jiancheng towns in the west, Xijiang River in the north, across the river from Deqing County, and Dongba and Liantan towns in the South. With an area of 200.7 square kilometers, the town is the largest in Yunan County.

Nanjiang river runs through the whole territory from south to north, and its tributaries are Gupeng River from west to East and Siyue River from east to west.

Nanjiangkou town has 132000 mu of pine resin base, 27500 mu of cinnamon base and 3100 mu of bamboo shoots.
Hydroenergy
Three hydropower stations, Shimen, Xikeng and Gupeng, with a total installed capacity of 760 kW, have been built in Nanjiangkou town. Yingzui hydropower station, a cascade hydropower station, is under construction.

As of 2011, the total population of the town was 38472, including 33476 agricultural population, accounting for 87.02% of the total population; 4996 non-agricultural population, accounting for 12.98% of the total population, including 553 people born in that year, with a birth rate of 14.37 ‰, 242 people died in that year, with a mortality rate of 6.29 ‰, and a natural population growth rate of 8.08 ‰. In addition, there were more than 1000 overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots. The population of the town is mainly Han nationality, and only a few married women are ethnic minorities.
By the end of 2017, there were 28700 permanent residents.
Economics
In 1988, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the town was 23.9182 million yuan, 2.7 times of 1978, ranking second in the county. Among them, the total industrial output value accounted for 13.562 million yuan, including forest chemical industry, comprehensive processing industry and other enterprises. In agriculture, the annual output of grain is 4956 tons, cassava is 2550 tons, cocoon is 108 tons, fruit is 601 tons, live pig is 14000, three birds are 299000. There are 164300 mu of timber forests, mainly pine and fir forests, followed by miscellaneous bamboo forests.
In 2015, the total social output value of the town increased from 241 million yuan in 2010 to 406 million yuan in 2015, with a growth rate of 68.46% and an average annual growth rate of 13.69%; the total industrial output value of the town increased from 384 million yuan in 2010 to 2345 million yuan in 2015, with a growth rate of 510.68% and an average annual growth rate of 102.14%; the total agricultural output value increased from 93 million yuan in 2010 to 132 million yuan in 2015, with a growth rate of 41.94%; and the average annual net income of farmers increased from 1.5 billion yuan in 2010 to 1.3 billion yuan in 2015, with a growth rate of 41.94% The income increased from 6322 yuan in 2010 to 11902.6 yuan in 2015, with a growth rate of 88.27%; the tax revenue increased from 24.017 million yuan in 2010 to 50.25 million yuan in 2015, with a growth rate of 109.23%.
In 2015, a demonstration base of agricultural industrialization adjustment was built in Pingluo village, with more than 650 mu of Macadamia planted, and 200 mu of Macadamia is planned to be popularized in the whole town; meanwhile, a 200 mu longan base has been built in Huanggang village through the transformation of citrus yellow disease. In the town, the planting area of Shatangju is more than 12000 mu, Chenopodium capsule and fast-growing forest are 30000 mu, Jiangyou is 200 mu, sericulture is 3500 mu, seedless wampee, litchi and other miscellaneous fruits are more than 7000 mu.
On June 8, 2015, Nanjiang first bay scenic area successfully held the fourth Nanjiang Dragon Boat Festival and dragon boat race. It has received more than 320000 tourists, driving the local economic income of more than 32 million yuan.

Nanjiangkou town is one of the important transportation hubs in western Guangdong. It is a port for commodity circulation, transit, import and export trade. There is traffic in the town. On land, Dezhu highway runs through the whole town from south to north, and Dunan highway runs through the north of the town from west to East. There are 13 water ports. All village committees can be opened to traffic.
In terms of waterway, there is Xijiang River, the "golden waterway" in southern China. At the port of Nanjiangkou, you can go directly to Zhaoqing, Guangzhou, Jiangmen, Zhuhai and Hong Kong, and Shanghang can go to Wuzhou, Nanning and Liuzhou.
In terms of highways, the provincial daodezhu line and the yuncang line run through the town, realizing the hard bottomed roads for every village, and more than 50% of the natural villages in the town have hard bottomed roads. Ganggangwei town has Xijiang bridge connecting 321 national highway, about 1.5km away from 321 national highway and only 60km away from Luoding section of 324 National Highway.
In terms of railway, Nanguang railway runs through the town and Nanjiangkou station is set up in Nanyao village.

In 2011, the planned construction area of Nanjiangkou small town area was expanded from 6 square kilometers to 8.5 square kilometers. The main streets include Xijiang, Zhenxing, Chuangxin Road, yuncang Avenue and Nanjiang Avenue, with a total length of 7.8 km. One 110kV substation and two comprehensive commercial markets with a construction area of 4000 square meters.

History and culture
The origin of the name
Because it is located at the confluence of Nanjiang River and Xijiang River, it is called Nanjiangkou. In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the Nanjiangkou and Nanyao areas were once the county governments of Jinhua. It was incorporated into the capital County in the Sui Dynasty. Song Zhiwen, a famous poet of the Tang Dynasty, was demoted to Longzhou and passed by Gupeng. He once wrote "Guoman", which left a poem about the scenery of the mountain village in that year (see attached scenery in this book). When the county was established in the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to the first map of Taiping capital, most of which were originally inhabited by Yao people. After the great expedition, it had been moved to other places. In 1898, a barge boat was set up on the riverbank of the town to transport passengers and goods. During the period of the Republic of China, there was a stone wharf.
"Sansheng Palace" artillery meeting
Every year, March 23 of the lunar calendar is the "Sansheng Palace" artillery meeting of Nanjiangkou traditional folk culture and Art Festival. On this day, the gongs and drums in Gangkou village of Nanjiangkou town are noisy and the lions are dancing. People from eight neighboring townships gather in Gangkou village to celebrate this grand festival. Dragon dance, lion dance, longevity bridge, Dao mountain, fire chain, floats, acrobatics, folk song duet, Cantonese opera, etc.
