Song Guizhen

Songgui town is under the jurisdiction of Yunfu City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the southeast of Yunan County, adjacent to Liantan town in the West and Dongba town in the north, 74 km away from Yunan County.

The total area of the town is 81.8 square kilometers, with 728.87 hectares of arable land, including 523.53 hectares of paddy fields. As of 2011, Songgui town has jurisdiction over 7 villages and Songgui communities. The total population is 25335 (2017), mainly Han nationality, with nine ethnic minorities.

Historical evolution

In the fifth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1577), Dongan County was the capital of Jin and Kang.
