Fengxin Street

Fengxin street, located in the northwest of Xiangqiao District, Chaozhou City, was established in 1992. It has jurisdiction over 12 villages including Chenqiao, daxinxiang, Lianyun, YUNTI, Zhuwei, Fengshan, Tianzhong, gaocuotang, Huayuan, Xitang, Dayuan, Dongpu and Kuiyuan neighborhood committee. There are 2 middle schools, 11 primary schools and 1 health center. The area is 26 square kilometers, with a population of 93798 (2010).

With the construction and development of the new urban area, the supporting facilities of the street community are improving day by day. The main traffic roads such as Industrial Avenue, Xinyang Road, Chaofeng road and lvrong road cross the whole area. The party and government office buildings, customs ports and major banks and financial institutions in Chaozhou City and Xiangqiao district are all located in them. The street is becoming an increasingly prominent city center.

Fengxin street is a traditional ceramic production area in Chaozhou City. In recent years, the sub district Party Working Committee and the sub district office have seized the favorable opportunity of the construction of the new urban area, given full play to the advantages of local traditional industries, land resources and infrastructure, actively created a good development environment, and spared no effort to promote the growth of local economy. At present, 10 industrial production positions have been built in the community, including Fengxin Industrial Park, daxinxiang industrial district, Xitang industrial district, etc., with a total investment of nearly 20 million yuan in infrastructure construction. The total volume of foreign trade exports reached US $29.51 million, accounting for 137.3% of the annual plan, with a year-on-year growth of 31.1%. With the improvement of urbanization and the growth of industrial economy, the tertiary industry of the street has also developed rapidly. There is a new fish and vegetable market, a clothing market, three new large-scale commercial and residential areas, and nearly 100 new commercial stores along the street.
