Yonghu town
Yonghu Town, located in the north of Huiyang District, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, has a subtropical monsoon climate. Tanshui River, a tributary of Xizhi River, runs through the whole area, surrounded by mountains in the East, South and West. The administrative area is 117.40 square kilometers, with natural landscapes such as huangchaobao natural scenic spot and Longtan waterfall. Yonghu town was designated as a municipal central town in 2010. By the end of 2018, 30618 households registered residence in the town. As of June 2020, Yonghu town has one community and 13 administrative villages.
In 2019, the GDP of Yonghu town will reach 2.595 billion yuan, an increase of 20.2%; the added value of industries above Designated Size will increase by 26%; the total output value of industries above Designated Size will increase by 14.3%; and the industrial power consumption from January to November will reach 412 million kwh, an increase of 5.6%.
History of construction
In 1870, Lujing, Shaao and Tantang belonged to Ma'an Yuebao; sandang and Maxi belonged to Siwei sheyue Bao; Daoyuan, Fengzui, Lixi, Yonghu, Huwei and bengkudi belonged to Wangzhu sheyue Bao.
In 1931, it belonged to the 13th district.
From the 26th to the 36th year of the Republic of China (1937-1947), it belonged to Yonghu Township, the first district.
In June 1950, it belonged to maxi Township, Tonghu district (District 1).
In November 1951, it belongs to the ninth district (the district government is located in yonghuwei).
In December 1957, it was later called Yonghu township.
In October 1958, Yongliang people's communes (Yonghu and Liangjing) were established.
In November 1959, it was separated from Yongliang commune and became Yonghu commune.
In April 1962, it belonged to Yonghu commune and Maxi commune of Yonghu district.
In February 1963, it was called Yonghu commune.
In January 1984, it was renamed Yonghu district.
In January 1987, Yonghu town was set up.

Yonghu Town, located in the north of Huiyang District, is the center between Huidan and Huiyang District, 12 kilometers away from Huiyang District in the South and 15 kilometers away from Huizhou City in the north, with an administrative area of 117.40 square kilometers.

History and culture
The origin of place names
In the middle of Ming Dynasty, two surnames Zhang and Yang settled here. Beside the gate of Zhang's ancestral hall, there is a large lake with an area of about 25 mu. The lake is rippling all the year round, so it is named Yonghu.

Yueli Bridge
Yueli bridge, the ninth batch of cultural relic protection units in Guangdong Province, is located in Yuanling village, Yonghu Town, Huiyang District. It spans a tributary of Danshui River and is a typical single hole masonry arch bridge. Yueli bridge was built in 1891. The bridge is 18 meters long, 2 meters wide, 8 meters high, with an arch span of about 14 meters. The piers and arches are made of square and long flat white stone of the same specifications. There are rain shelters and stone statues at both ends of the arch bridge.
Honorary title
Yonghu town has won the honorary titles of "provincial education town", "Provincial Ecological Town" and "municipal health town".
