Nahuo town
Nahuo town is located in the north of Dianbai District, Maoming City, Guangdong Province, bordering Gaozhou and Yangchun counties (cities), Bajia town of Yangchun City in the northeast, Yuntan town and Dapo town of Gaozhou City in the northwest, Luokeng Town, Shalang town and Huangling town in the south.
Nahuo town is an old revolutionary town in Dianbai District of Maoming City. The town is rich in specialty products, traffic is improving, and township enterprises are developing rapidly.
Evolution of organizational system
Before the Qing Dynasty
Nahuo town was the southern border of Dianbai District in Sui and Tang Dynasties.
In the Ming Dynasty, there were Shuangshi and Lishi in the second map of Deshan Township and Datang and Xincun in the third map.
In the Qing Dynasty, there were tanchabao, nahuotun and Tuodong gates under the jurisdiction of Shalang inspection department.
the Republic of China era
In the Republic of China, it was Nahuo, Xishan, Liangtian, Shuitou and Shitan in Nahuo Township, the Fourth District, and jiaotuo in Jiaotuo township; in 1941, it was jiaotuo, Nahuo and Shuishi in the second district.
New China period
In November 1949, it was the Xintang, Ma Lu, Changshan, Shuishi, Shilong, Chashan, Shitang, Sandu and other small townships and nahuowei in Nahuo township of six districts (Shalang).
In March 1953, it was the township of Nahuo, qinkeng, Sandu, Shilong, Malu, Xintang, Changshan, Chashan and Shuishi in the 14th District (Nahuo).
In February 1957, it was the middle township of Nahuo, Shilong, Chashan and Sandu, and at the end of the year, it was the big township of Nahuo and Sandu.
In September 1958, it was attached to Dongfeng people's commune.
In June 1959, Dongfeng people's commune was analyzed and Nahuo people's commune was set up, with 18 brigades under its jurisdiction.
From August 1960 to the autumn of 1963, three brigades, dachetian, heme and fudiling, were successively assigned to Luokeng people's commune, and Shuixi brigade to Huangling people's commune.
In December 1983, Nahuo people's commune was withdrawn and Nahuo district was established, with 15 townships under its jurisdiction.
In April 1987, the district was removed and Nahuo town was set up, with one neighborhood committee and 15 village committees under its jurisdiction. In September 1989, the village committee was renamed management area.
In 1990, Nahuo town had a neighborhood committee, 15 administrative districts and 290 natural villages.
In April 2014, the former Dianbai County was transferred to Dianbai District of Maoming City.

Nahuo town is located in the north of Dianbai District, 11110-11120 e, 2149-2159 n. It borders Luokeng town in the southeast, Shalang town in the south, Huangling town in the southwest, Bajia town in Yangchun City in the East, Yuntan town in Gaozhou City in the West and North. It is 68 kilometers away from Shuidong highway. The width of East and West is 15. The total land area is 141.06 square kilometers (2017).
Nahuo town is connected with Bajia town of Yangchun City by mountains and rivers, with a boundary line of 35.6 km.
topographic features
Nahuo town is a low mountain and high hilly area, with high terrain in the north and low terrain in the south, with an altitude of 39-926.2 meters. The lowest point is the Sanshui River in Shuishi, 39 meters above sea level, the highest is 926.2 meters in qinkeng and 67.8 meters in the government compound.
Ten famous mountains: zhiyading, yaopogou, huizhiling, Matouling, mamianling, Tongguling, goukeling, luduanling, Dawangling and houshanling.

The rivers flowing through Nahuo include Weitou River, Shitan River, Baima River and Datian River, all of which belong to the birthplace of Shalang river. Among them, the starting point of Weitou river is qingeling mountain stream of qinkeng Dahe village supporting the South Valley of Yaling mountain, which is the most starting point of Shalang River; the starting point of Ganhe village of yaopogou Dashan, Dakeng of longmenzi dawoudu, which is also the starting point of Shalang river. The starting point of Baima River is Zhengkeng, gaopidong, Chashan, the origin of Datian river is Jianfengling, the origin of Shitan river is baishuijiao, Yuntan, Gaozhou.

Name source
Nahuo was originally Nahuo. The people of Nahuo have a long history of planting Agastache rugosa. In ancient times, it was called Huotian. In slang language, it was called Nahuo. "Na" means "Tian". For the convenience of writing, posterity saved the grass.

The agricultural population is 43152, accounting for 96.44% of the total population; the non-agricultural population is 1592, accounting for 3.56% of the total population. In 2000, there were 13217 households with a total population of 57107, including 54887 agricultural population, 2220 non-agricultural population, 56821 Han population and 326 ethnic minorities. In 2009, there were 67437. In 2012, there were 71778.

Sanmao railway runs through Nahuo, with Nahuo station and reshuidong station. The hard bottom reconstruction of township roads in the whole town has been basically completed.
The main line of Shantou Zhanjiang Expressway passes through Nahuo and has an exit, which is of great significance to enhance the location advantage of Nahuo.
Economics
Agricultural products include bamboo shoots and longan, among which Huanglan is the first in the county, with an annual output of more than 1000 tons.
Nahuo township enterprises have developed rapidly, with more than 200 wood processing, bamboo weaving and plastic processing enterprises. Wood processing products sell well all over the country, and are also exported to Southeast Asia and other countries and regions.

language
Ya dialect (Hakka language in western Guangdong) is popular in the whole town. In addition, there are also some vernacular users.
Because the town is close to Gaozhou vernacular area, the influence of vernacular on ya dialect is greater than that of other Ya dialect towns in the same county.
