Qianwu town
Qianwu Town, belonging to Doumen District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, is located in the west of Zhuhai City with a land area of 190.62 square kilometers (2017), which is the most extensive town in Zhuhai City. Qianwu town has 16 administrative villages and 2 communities, with a population of 81433 (in 2017), and more than 30000 people living in Hong Kong, Macao and overseas. It is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese.
There are many excellent traditional arts in Qianwu Town, such as Qianwu floating color, loading mud fish, gongs and drums cabinet, dragon dance, lion dance, Buddhist boxing and so on. As of 2012, Qianwu town has one national intangible cultural heritage list (the custom of loading mud fish), two provincial intangible cultural heritage lists, five municipal intangible cultural heritage lists and seven district intangible cultural heritage lists. Among them, the custom of "loading mud fish", the dry floating color, the gongs and drums cabinet and other projects are particularly representative.
In October 2019, Qianwu town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association confirmed Qianwu town as the National Health Township in 2019.
History of construction
In the middle of Qing Dynasty, Qianwu town was originally under the jurisdiction of Xinhui County, so it was called "Siyi".
In 1910, it was under the jurisdiction of Huangliang capital of Xiangshan County.
In 1925, Qianwu town was Qianwu Township and Dongwan Township in the eighth District of Zhongshan County.
In June 1950, Zhongshan County was divided into 11 districts. The eighth district government set up a cadre office, and 26 townships (towns) were established.
In June 1952, Zhongshan County was divided into 15 districts.
In August 1955, according to the regulations of the people's Committee of Guangdong Province, each district (town) was renamed after its district (town), and the eight districts were renamed Qianwu district.
In March 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged.
In October 1958, Doumen people's commune was established.
In November 1959, after Qianwu town abolished the Big Commune, Doumen commune was divided into three communes: Doumen commune, Qianwu commune and Baijiao commune.
In 1961, Qianwu was restored to regional management, and it was under the jurisdiction of Qianwu, Dongao and Lishan communes.
In early 1963, the district system was abolished and renamed people's commune.
In December 1984, the commune system was abolished and changed to district system. The original production brigade was changed to township.
In January 1987, districts were transformed into towns, and townships were transformed into villages.

In 1925, Qianwu town governed Qianwu Township and Dongwan township. Qianwu Township includes Qianwu, Dongwu, dongcuntang, nanfo, Haibeitou, Dakeng, xinpingshan, jiupingshan, Guanyinyan, xichengwei, shigouyong, dahaihuan, nanshai, Beishui, Caolang, Huangjin, Dalin, Xiaolin, etc.; Dongwan Township includes Dongao, Wankou, Niushan, Gaotian, Nan'an, Shiqun, Shigou, Xipu, Dongming, etc. After the implementation of the new county system, a total of 28 insurances were set up in two townships of Qianwu town.
In March 1957, Qianwu was divided into three townships: Baijiao, Lishan and Qianwu. Nanxin and Pingsha townships were assigned to Pingsha farm.
In October 1958, Qianwu town governed Baijiao Township, Lishan Township, Qianwu Township, Liuxiang Township, Chikan Township and Doumen township.
On July 19, 1965, after Doumen County was established, Shazi, Dongming, Xipu, Huangjin, Caolang and other villages were assigned to Niwan commune, and mashanwangshan, Xiacun, Nanshan, Lishan, Hushan and other brigades were assigned to Wushan commune.
In 1975, Shiqun, Nan'an, Shigou and other villages were set up from Dongao, and the town expanded from seven agricultural production teams to eight.
In 1990, the town people's government was set up as an administrative organ, under which eight villages were set up. According to the residential type, the town is divided into two parts: the people and the sand. Qiandong, Qianxi, Qianbei (including dongcuntang natural village), Shiqun (including Nan'an, Shigou and sanjiacun natural villages), Dongao and Wankou (including Niushan natural village) are the areas where people live to cultivate sand; dahaihuan and Shigou (shigouchong) are the water residents living in sand.

Qianwu town is located in the south of Tropic of cancer. It has abundant heat and sufficient light all the year round. It has long summer and short winter, few hot summer, less cold winter, high humidity, more clouds, abundant rainfall, the same season of rain and heat, and distinct dry and wet seasons. Typhoons and rainstorms are frequent, and low temperature and cold often occur, which belongs to the humid climate of south subtropical monsoon.

Qianwu town is close to the mountains and the sea, with a variety of landforms, including uneven hillside, continuous hilly platform and plain sand field area with an altitude of 21 meters.

Qianwu town is located in the west of Zhuhai City and the south of Doumen district. It is connected with Zhuhai Xinqing Industrial Park in the East and Jinwan District in the south. The whole town is connected with Zhugang Avenue from the north to the south, Zhufeng Avenue from the east to the west, Huangyang Avenue from the north and the Western Coastal Expressway exit from the north, supplemented by a provincial road connecting all administrative villages in the town, so that every village can be connected with cement roads. It is the "Golden Triangle" where yamen, Hutiaomen and jitiaomen, the five gates of Guangdong Province, meet at sea. The transportation is well developed. It is adjacent to Zhuhai harbor and Zhuhai airport. Zhufeng Avenue and Zhugang Avenue run through the whole town. The exit of Coastal Expressway in western Guangdong is very close. The freight station of the planned west line of Guangzhou Zhuhai railway is set up in the territory.

Fushan Industrial Park in Qianwu town was established in 2009, focusing on the development of electronic information industry, home appliance manufacturing industry and port equipment manufacturing industry. It is an important part of the advanced equipment manufacturing industry belt on the West Bank of the Pearl River. A large number of well-known enterprises are gathered in the park, including CNR Zhuhai base, Jiesai technology, Wartsila Yuchai medium speed machine, amendment pharmaceutical, Xiangyu industry, etc. In 2010, the total industrial output value of the town was 4.9 billion yuan.

Xiacun won the Titles of "national civilized village" and "Guangdong civilized village" in 2014.
