Ma Luan Street
Malan street, belonging to Pingshan District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, is located in the south of Pingshan District, adjacent to Shijing street in the East, biling street in the west, Meisha street in Yantian District in the south, Pingshan street and Longtian street in the north, with an area of about 43.86 square kilometers. It is the largest street in Pingshan district. As of 2017, the Ma Lan street has a permanent population of about 81 thousand and 900 people, with a registered residence of about 13 thousand and 800 people. As of June 2020, Malan street has four communities under its jurisdiction.
More than half of Malan street is located within the ecological control line. It is rich in tourism resources, including Malan mountain country park, the former site of gengzi Shouyi and the national new energy automobile industry base. Dawanshiju is one of the largest square Hakka houses in China. It was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795). In 2002, it was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in Guangdong Province.
As of 2017, there are 39 joint-stock cooperative companies in Malan street, including 4 community joint-stock cooperative companies, 15 resident group joint-stock cooperative companies (and 20 resident group branches), with a total registered capital of 152 million yuan and total assets of 2.033 billion yuan.
Historical evolution
Malan street has a long history. According to the research of Song Dynasty copper coin hoard site in songziling, Han people moved to Pingshan in the Southern Song Dynasty.
In Pingshan area, it belonged to Panyu County of Nanhai County in Qin Dynasty, BOLUO County in Han Dynasty to three kingdoms, Bao'an County in Jin Dynasty to Tang Dynasty and Dongguan County in Song Dynasty.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Pingshan belonged to Guishan county. From 1684 to 1780, Hakkas moved here one after another. Laowei and luowu became the second villages, which were collectively called pingshanwei.
During the period of the Republic of China, Pingshan belonged to Huiyang county.
From October 1949 to November 1957, Pingshan township was subordinate to the Fourth District of Huiyang county.
In December 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Other townships in the fourth district were merged into Pingshan township.
In October 1958, Pingshan commune was established and put under Bao'an County in November of the same year.
In July 1983, the commune system was abolished and Pingshan district was set up.
In October 1986, Pingshan Town was established.
In January 1993, Baoan county was divided into Baoan District and Longgang District, and Pingshan Town was subordinate to Longgang District.
In 2004, all towns in Longgang District were removed and streets were set up. Pingshan street is still under the jurisdiction of Longgang District.
On October 20, 2016, Pingshan and Kengzi were divided into Pingshan, Malan, biling, Shijing, Kengzi and Longtian.
On January 7, 2017, Pingshan district was established, and Malan street is subordinate to Pingshan district.

cultural relics and historic sites
Dawanshiju is located in the Hakka village in the southwest of pinghuan community, 33 Dawan Road, Malian street, Pingshan district. It was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795) and has a history of nearly 300 years. Covering an area of 15000 square meters, dawanshiju is one of the largest square Hakka enclosed houses in China.
The whole building of Dawan Shiju is square, with ancestral hall, middle building and back building as the central axis. Two rows of hard peak buildings with the same form, pattern and size are symmetrically distributed on both sides. The courtyard wall is about 80 cm thick. There is a moat outside the wall. There are watchtowers around the wall. There is a half moon shaped geomantic pool in front of the whole building. The main wall has three doors. The middle door is a archway. The archway is decorated with cornices and grey sculptures. The wood members are exquisitely carved. There are two sides of doors on the left and right. The middle door enters the courtyard through the gatehouse, and the center is the ancestral hall.
In 1984, dawanshiju was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Shenzhen. In 2002, dawanshiju was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit by Guangdong Provincial People's government, and dawanshiju Hakka folk culture museum was established.

Malan mountain country park is located in Malan street, Pingshan District, Shenzhen city. It is connected with Sanzhoutian reservoir in Yantian District in the west, Kwai Chung street in the East and gold coast in the east of Shenzhen in the south. It extends 15 kilometers from east to west and 2 kilometers from north to south, covering an area of 31.66 square kilometers. The country park has a beautiful landscape of mountains and sea. The highest peak is daguling in the west, with an altitude of 525.9 meters. At the top of the mountain, we can take a look at the city and the mountain and sea landscape. We can overlook the Wutong mountains in the west, the south of the Maisa, the Yantian port and the new territories in Hongkong; the north can be seen in Pingshan, Keng Zi and Longgang.
There is the largest waterfall in Shenzhen in malanshan country park. The rocks in the valley are in various shapes and sizes due to the erosion of water. The streams are clear, and the vegetation on both sides of the valley is rich, with vines and wild flowers everywhere.
