Historical evolution
Tielong, according to historical records, in the 25th year of Jiaqing (1820) of the Qing Dynasty, township and shop organizations were set up in rural areas. There were two townships in the county, Shangxiang and Xiaxiang, and 28 shops were managed. At that time, Tielong belonged to Xiaxiang tielongpu. After the Opium War, the British mined iron ore here to make iron, so it was called the upper and lower iron yard. There is a narrow Shandong area in the south of Tielong, which is said to be rich in longan, so it is called longyandong in history. in the 26th year of the Republic of China, the establishment of the shop was abolished, and the administrative organs were changed to districts and townships. Tielong belonged to Tielong township of four districts at that time. At the beginning of liberation, the people's Government of Wengyuan County set up a small township here, which was named Tielong township government after the first name of Tiechang and longyandong. In February 1957, according to the needs of cooperation at that time, the county merged five districts into four districts, set up two towns and 32 townships. At that time, Tielong belonged to Tielong township of WengCheng district. In October 1958, the people's commune was set up in the whole county. Tielong took advantage of the situation and set up three brigades. According to the requirements of collectivization movement at that time, they were called Longji, Longti and Longhua brigades. (after the reform and opening up, according to the requirements of the system reform, the brigade was changed into the management area, namely Longji management area, Longti management area and Longhua management area. In 1993, the management area, also known as the natural village, was still under the jurisdiction of Tielong town (farm). In 1959, with the approval of the people's Government of Guangdong Province, Tielong established a forest farm, known as the "state-owned Tielong forest farm of Guangdong Province", and broke away from Xinjiang commune. In 1963, a party committee was established in Tielong forest farm, known as the "state-owned Guangdong Tielong Forest Farm Committee of the Communist Party of China". Within the party, there were secretaries and deputy secretaries, and in administration, there were chief and deputy chief. In 1983, the county abolished the people's Commune and established a district or town. Tielong complied with the situation and set up "Wengyuan Tielong District Office". It began to put up two brands of "Wengyuan Tielong District Office" and "state-owned Guangdong Tielong forest farm". It implemented a set of people and division of work. In 1986, Tielong was renamed "Tielong township government of Wengyuan County". In 1993, the township was transformed into a town, known as "Tielong Town People's Government of Wengyuan County". In 2004, the town was removed and changed into a forest farm, known as "state-owned Tielong forest farm of Guangdong Province".

The traffic in Tielong district is well developed, with Beijing Zhuhai Expressway and national highway 106 running through it. Since the Ninth Five Year Plan period, Tielong forest farm has paid close attention to infrastructure construction. More than 4 million yuan has been invested to complete the road construction of the farm, and more than 12 million yuan has been invested to build 32 kilometers of village roads, taking the lead in realizing the connection of water, electricity and roads to natural villages in the mountainous areas of northern Guangdong. With an investment of more than 1.2 million yuan, the tap water project has been improved, and the rural drinking water purification and automation have been fully realized. Unique climate and natural conditions
The terrain of Tielong is composed of low hill, middle hill and low mountain, with an altitude of 200-700 meters and a slope of 15-35 degrees. The climate belongs to subtropical climate, with abundant rainfall. The annual rainfall is between 1890-2415, and the rainy season is generally five months. The climate is warm and the annual average temperature is 20.5 ℃. There is short-term frost in a year, generally from December to February. The soil is mostly mountain red soil and yellow soil. The parent rock of the soil is sandstone, mainly shale, and then limestone. The thickness of the soil layer is 70-150 cm, the content of organic matter is 1.8% - 4%, and the pH value is 4.4-7.4. South China Agricultural University and forestry colleges have developed seed base and pollution-free vegetable base in our farm. Shenzhen, Dongguan, Panyu, Guangzhou, Foshan and other owners of the Pearl River Delta have developed new ecological agriculture projects in our farm, which have achieved considerable economic and social benefits.
