Xiangyang Township, belonging to Zhaodong City, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the west of Zhaodong city and the North Bank of Songjiang River. It borders Zhaodong town in the East, Dechang town in the south, Changwu town in the west, Song Town and Shangshang town in the north. The area is 176 square kilometers. In 2018, there were 24680 registered residence population.
In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), it belonged to the Fifth District of Chang, which was called Xiangyang village. In 1939, Shuguang, Wuxing and Hongye villages in the north of Xiangyang Township belonged to Changwu Zhenxing village, while Jusheng, Fuxing, Zhongxin, Baihe, Rixin, Zhonghua, Jucheng and Xiangyang villages in the South belonged to Xiangyang village. In the 35th year of the Republic of China (1946), it belonged to Changwu district and governed 13 villages. In 1956, it was divided into three townships: Xiangyang, Haishan and Tianzeng. In 1958, the three townships were merged into Xiangyang commune. In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In 2001, Liangzhong village was merged into Zhongxin village, Sanjing village into Rixin village, Zhonghua village into Jucheng village, Youyi village into Xiangyang Village, Shuguang village into Jusheng village. As of October 2019, Xiangyang countryside has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages.
In 2018, Xiangyang Township had 5 industrial enterprises and 9 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
