Xinbao Township, belonging to Yangyuan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeast of Yangyuan County, bordering Huliu River in the East, chenjiawa Township in Yu County in the south, majuanbao Township in the west, Sanggan River in the north, 33km away from Yangyuan County People's government, with a total area of 116.4km.

In September 1958, Xinbao commune was established in Xinbao township; in March 1984, Xinbao commune was changed into Xinbao township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Xinbao township was 13050. As of June 2020, Xinbao village has jurisdiction over 26 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Xinbao village.

History of construction

In September 1958, Xinbao commune was established in Xinbao township.

In May 1961, Xinbao commune separated into nanxinzhuang commune and majuanbao commune.

In March 1984, Xinbao commune was changed into Xinbao township.

In May 1994, nanxinzhuang township was merged into Xinbao township.
