Yangjun Town, belonging to Yu County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the northwest of Yu County. It is adjacent to Nanliuzhuang town in the East and Southeast, Guangling County in Shanxi Province in the south, southwest and West, Yangyuan County in the northwest and North, and Baicao village in the northeast. It is 23.9 kilometers away from the people's Government of Yu County, with a total area of 134.94 square kilometers.
Yangjun town originally belonged to the five districts of Guangling County, Shanxi Province; in April 1951, it was assigned to Yu County as the first mining district; in May 1986, it was changed from Yangjun township to Yangjun town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Yang family town was 18700. As of June 2020, Yangjun town has one community and 25 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Xibao village.

History of construction
It originally belonged to five districts of Guangling County, Shanxi Province.
In April 1951, it was assigned to Yuxian County as the first mining area.
In 1954, area 1 of the mine was renamed area 15.
In 1958, the 15th district was changed into Yangjun commune.
In 1984, Yangjun commune was changed to Yangjun township.
In May 1986, it was changed from Yangjun township to Yangjun town.
