Zhijiang town
Zhijiang town is the political, economic, cultural and commercial center of Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County in Hunan Province. It is adjacent to aitouping and Yanqiao Township in the East, mayantang and Xiaoping in the south, muyexi and zhupingpu in the west, and wulangxi and niuguping in the north. The total area of the town is 268.62 square kilometers. Under its jurisdiction: 12 neighborhood committees including Beijie, Dongjie, Nanjie, Qianjie, Heping Road, Kaixuan Road and Huangjia street; 49 village committees including Sanliping, Qiliqiao, dalongping, dongmenkou, Liushuping, yaowantang, quxilong, shiwanping, Taohuaxi, shetangping, Hexin, xiacaiyuan, Xiaoxi, luojiajing, dengjiaping and zhongyangxi.

Luyang County
In the first year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1736 A.D.), it was called Zhijiang County, belonging to Hunan Province. In the 11th year of the Republic of China, Zhili was established in Hunan Province. Before liberation, it was the tenth administrative supervision district of Hunan Province. At the beginning of the founding of new China, it belonged to Huitong special region. In August 1952, it was transferred to Zhijiang special office, and in December 1952, it belonged to Qianyang special district. From 1981 to now, it belongs to Huaihua area. In September 1986, with the approval of the State Council, Zhijiang county was abolished and Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County was established.
There have been many important historical events in Zhijiang. In 1456, the Miao uprising broke out in Yuanzhou. In 1861, Shi Dakai, the wing of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, fought fiercely with the Qing army in the area of jingongping and Yushuwan, and severely damaged the Qing army. In January 1936, the second and sixth Red Army Corps fought fiercely with the enemy in the area of Benshui in today's xindianping Town, killing more than a thousand enemies, which is called "Benshui battle" in history. In 1945, the victory of the Anti Japanese war ended, and the world-famous negotiation between China and Japan was held at Qiliqiao. Zhijiang became a famous surrender city at home and abroad.

Yang Fengsheng, who was born in aitouping Township in 1866, was the chief writer of Xiang Bao for a long time. He advocated the reform and was the central figure of the reform movement of 1898. Zhijiang is located in the west of Hunan Province, on the eastern edge of Yunnan Guizhou Plateau. Its geographical coordinates are 109 ° 17'31 "e to 109 ° 54'49" and 27 ° 04'12 "n to 27 ° 38'24". It is connected to Huaihua (26.7 km to the county), Wanshan and Xinhuang (38.8 km to the county), Huitong and Guizhou Tianzhu (46.6 km to the county), Mayang (23.8 km to the county) and Changsha (498 km to the railway). The whole landform is dominated by hills, the terrain inclines from north to Southeast, high around and low in the middle, forming a basin. In 2015, mayiantang Township, zhupingpu Township, aitouping Township and Zhijiang town were incorporated into Zhijiang town. The newly established Zhijiang town governs 49 villages (including Xiaohekou village and sifangyuan Village) and 12 communities, with a total area of 268.62 square kilometers and a total population of 150182 (in 2017). The town people's government is stationed in Qianjie community (the former Zhijiang Town People's Government).
History of construction
Zhijiang
In ancient times, it belonged to "Wuxi Mandi". The unearthed cultural relics prove that primitive human activities existed as far back as the Paleolithic period along the coast of Gushui. The Shang and Zhou dynasties belong to the central part of Chu and Guizhou, and the Qin Dynasty is the county. Wuyang county was established in the fifth year of Gaozu (202 BC) in the Western Han Dynasty, which was the beginning of Zhijiang county. The county was abandoned in the Eastern Han Dynasty and merged into Chenyang county. Wuyang county was set up in the Taikang period of Jin Dynasty (280 ~ 289) and subordinate to Wuling county. In the Yikang period of Jin Dynasty (405 ~ 418), the county government moved to Tan city. In the Liang Dynasty (502-557), it was changed to longlong County, which belonged to Nanyang County. Chen Yongding three years (559) to Yuanling County. Tang Xianxian two years (712) home Tanyang County, belongs to Yuanzhou. In 1074, Yuanzhou city was built, Tanyang county was changed into Luyang County, and Yuanzhou city was governed by counties. In 1376, Luyang county was abolished and entered Yuanzhou. In the first year of Qianlong of Qing Dynasty (1736), Yuanzhou capital attached to Zhijiang county was set up.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the county was abolished and the government was restored the next year. In the 11th year of the Republic of China, Chenyuan road was abandoned and Zhijiang was directly established in the province. In the 24th year of the Republic of China, it belonged to Zhiqian Mahuang administrative supervision area. In the 25th year of the Republic of China, it was the fourth administrative supervision district of Hunan Province, the seventh administrative supervision district of Hunan Province in the next year, and the tenth administrative supervision district of Hunan Province in the 29th year of the Republic of China.
On October 2, 1949, the 112th division of the 28th army of the Chinese people's Liberation Army liberated Zhijiang. On October 26, the people's Government of Zhijiang county was set up, which was successively subordinate to the special area of Huihui, Zhijiang, Qianyang and Qianyang. On May 1, 1955, the county people's government was renamed the county people's Committee. On September 8, 1968, the county Revolutionary Committee was established to exercise the functions and powers of the county people's government. On December 4, 1980, the county people's government was reestablished. In 1981, because Qianyang area was renamed Huaihua area, Zhijiang was attached to it. On September 22, 1986, with the approval of the State Council, Zhijiang county was abolished and Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County was established, with its subordinate and jurisdiction unchanged. In 1998, Huaihua was set up as a city, and Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County was subordinate to Huaihua City.

In 2003, industrial production grew rapidly. In the whole year, the total industrial output value of the whole society was 950 million yuan and the industrial added value was 332.4 million yuan, increasing by 19.1% and 17.3% respectively over the previous year. Among them, the total output value of industries above designated size was 523.58 million yuan and the added value was 177.46 million yuan, increasing by 26.6% and 28.5% respectively over the previous year.
The output of main products increased rapidly. The power generation capacity was 482.22 million kwh, with a year-on-year increase of 14.8%; cement was 132000 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 43.5%; raw coal was 42570 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 4.3%; and chemical fertilizer production was 74808 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 182.6%.
The economic benefits of the industry have been improved and the production and marketing have been well connected. Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size achieved a profit of 51.03 million yuan, an increase of 21.3% over the previous year. The output value of sales reached 525.25 million yuan, an increase of 27.1%, and the sales rate of products was 100.3%, 4.5 percentage points higher than that of the previous year.
The construction industry is developing rapidly. In the whole year, the added value of the construction industry was 92.71 million yuan, an increase of 62.8%. There were 3 construction enterprises with qualification grade, with a profit of 710000 yuan, an increase of 11.2%; the construction area of 82452 square meters, an increase of 24.5%; and the completed construction area of 41720 square meters, an increase of 23.5%.
In 2004, the total industrial output value of the whole society was 1.33 billion yuan and the industrial added value was 469.8 million yuan, an increase of 40% and 17.4% respectively over the previous year. Among them, the total output value of industries above designated size was 789.56 million yuan and the added value was 318.83 million yuan, an increase of 63.2% and 39.9% respectively over the previous year.
The output of industrial products increased at the same time. Power generation was 938.57 million kwh, up 63.8% over the previous year; cement was 172 thousand tons, up 30.7% over the previous year; raw coal was 61540 tons, up 59.9% over the previous year; and chemical fertilizer was 81973 tons, up 9.6% over the previous year.
Economic benefits are rising. Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size achieved a profit of 41.11 million yuan, an increase of 24.4% over the previous year. The sales output value was 789.48 million yuan, an increase of 62.9% over the previous year, and the product sales rate was 100%.
Balanced development of construction industry. In the whole year, the added value of the construction industry was 33.4 million yuan, down 63%. There were 3 construction enterprises with qualification grade, with a profit of 1.34 million yuan, an increase of 88.7%; the construction area of 86985 square meters, an increase of 5.5%; and the completed construction area of 46366 square meters, an increase of 11.1%.
Agriculture
Agriculture and rural economy are developing healthily. In 2003, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 803.68 million yuan, an increase of 4.0% over the previous year.
