Shiguyuan Township

Shiguyuan Township, belonging to Qiyang City, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, is located in the northeast of Jindong management area. It is adjacent to Changning City in the East, xiaojindong in the south, Babao town in the West and jinbaotang town in the north. Township government in Wuxing village, jurisdiction Dongfeng, shiguyuan, xilingao, dalingxia, Wuxing, Jieguling, Guilin, Leshan eight villages.

The total area of the township is 79.62 square kilometers (2017), with 542.1 hectares of cultivated land, 1598.1 hectares of forest land and 15211 people (2017). Historical evolution

The name of shiguyuan village is still used in the township. At the beginning of liberation, it was the 11th district of Ningyuan County, which was assigned to Qiyang in 1954. In 1956, after withdrawing from the District, he went to the countryside for Daling. In 1958, shiguyuan people's commune was established by merging with shiguyuan township. In 1984, shiguyuan township was restored and managed by Jindong forest farm.

In December 2015, it merged with shiguyuan township to establish a new shiguyuan Township, where the government is located in Wufang village.

It has a total area of 2.1 square kilometers, 33.9 hectares of arable land, 115 households and 594 people.

Most of the village's surnames are Deng. The original surnames are Sanfang and Manfang, so they are called sanmanfang. The village committee's residence in the ancestral hall governs 16 villager groups including Manfang, Tangbian, fengjiawan, qifangli, changbeili, xinwutang, xiaoniuchong, jingjingtang, dayetang, huangjiayuan, xiejiawu, daniuchong, etc. It has a total area of 5.3 square kilometers, 63.3 hectares of cultivated land, 378 households and 1306 people.

It is said that there is a male goose, pecking through longshan'ao, flying to the nearby county Changning eyuan township to look for a female goose. Because it is located in the west, it is named xiling'ao. The village committee is located in huangjiayuan, which has 14 villager groups, including Miao, Gaotang, Baijia, doumenshan, heshuichong, liupaiyuan, egongjing, Jing, aoshang and qishayuan. With a total area of 3.1 square kilometers, 73.3 hectares of arable land, 305 households and 1180 people.

Located at the foot of tiantangguan mountain, the village is built close to the mountain, so it is named. The village committee is located in zushanping and has jurisdiction over 15 villager groups, including hengchong, Wanli, xiangwuyuan, yaowuyuan, liujiayuan, shiqiaobian, ZHOUJIAYUAN, chongtou and jingwanqiu. The total area is 3.7 square kilometers, with 84.1 hectares of arable land, 372 households and 1278 people.

It is named after the fifth brother of Feng who settled and developed in China. The village committee is located in Wufang, and has jurisdiction over nine villager groups, including Quanjiang, Xinwu, Wufang, danwuzi, maopingli and Zuochong. The total area is 1.6 square kilometers, 41.6 hectares of arable land, 221 households and 862 people.

In 2011, Wufang village set up a market center centered on shiguyuan township. The market is small-scale agricultural markets such as food, agricultural products, wood, fruits, vegetables, meat, clothes, shoes, furniture, hardware, cement, building materials, etc. Houses have been built around the market. A small hat factory has been set up with 220 workers, most of whom are rural women, who can work at home and take care of their families.

There are many paddy fields in the village. After autumn, most of the villagers have the habit of putting water into the field, which is called frozen field. The village committee is located in Dongtian and has jurisdiction over four villager groups including Dongtian. It has a total area of 1 square kilometer, cultivated land of 19.3 hectares, 73 households and 329 people.

The terrain of the village is like a partridge, so it is named zhegudian, and its homonym is jiedaling. The village committee is located in jiedaling, and has jurisdiction over 13 villager groups, including Hejiaping, jiedaling, xingzitang, Guanyintan, baijiachang, meizichang and pengjiawu. It has a total area of 2.1 square kilometers, 67.2 hectares of arable land, 245 households and 936 people.

It was named after the Guilin temple built in front of the osmanthus forest. The village committee is located in dazhiling and has jurisdiction over 10 villager groups, including fengmengshan, shuangwuyuan, bengwuyuan, zengjiaping, leijiajing, Zhangjiachong, zhujialing and dazhiling. It has a total area of 1.3 square kilometers, 35.9 hectares of arable land, 170 households and 631 people.

There is a square pond in the territory, named fangtang, later known as fangtang. The village committee is located in fangtangchong and has jurisdiction over seven villager groups, including fangtangchong, fanjiaao, pailouchong, niuxingdi and lizichong. It has a total area of 1.6 square kilometers, 25.4 hectares of arable land, 153 households and 586 people.

Behind the village is a mountain, from which the sun sets in the evening, hence the name Luoshan. Later, the homonym evolved into Leshan. The village committee is located in fengjiaci, and it has seven villager groups: jiejie, Zhongjie, Shangjie, sanfangli, shangerfang, xiaerfang and mabeitian. It has a total area of 1.5 square kilometers, 39.2 hectares of arable land, 223 households and 820 people.
