Lu Yang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Rucheng County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, is located in the middle part of the county. It has an area of 115.59 square kilometers, registered residence of 69990 people (2018), 10 communities and 21 administrative villages (2019). Rucheng No.1 middle school, Rucheng cultural center, Rucheng people's Hospital, Rucheng No.2 people's Hospital and Rucheng traditional Chinese medicine hospital are located in the territory.

Historical evolution
In the first year of Tianjia in the Southern Dynasty (560), Luyang county was set up here, and Luyang county (now Rucheng County) was under its jurisdiction. Luyang town is an ancient name for today.
Qing Dynasty belongs to Rucheng, Leshan and Changning.
In 1919, it belonged to the central district.
In 1938, it was called Shoushan town and Jintai township.
In April 1950, it belonged to the first district of Rucheng County.
In April 1956, Chengguan town was established and attached to urban and rural areas.
In October 1958, Chengguan Town, Fucheng people's Commune and Tuqiao people's commune merged to form happy people's commune.
In November 1959, it was renamed Chengguan people's Commune and Fucheng people's commune.
In November 1981, Chengguan people's commune was divided into Chengguan people's Commune and suburban people's commune.
In October 1983, it was restructured into Chengguan Town, Chengjiao Township and attached urban and rural areas.
In May 2012, Chengguan Town, suburban township and affiliated urban and rural areas merged into Luyang town.

Luyang town is located in the middle of Rucheng County, bordering Jiyi Township and Yijiang forest farm in the East, Jiulongjiang Forest Park, Daping town and Quanshui town in the south, Maqiao town in the west, Nuanshui town and Tuqiao town in the north. Its total area is 115.59 square kilometers.

Nanling Mountain range is located in the southeast of Luyang town. Donggangling mountain is 1479 meters above sea level. The central part is relatively flat, with a plain about 12.5 km long from north to South and 8 km wide from east to west, which is the largest Intermountain basin in Rucheng. The northwest is mostly hilly and low mountains, with the lowest altitude of 555m in Yule Bay and 593m in the town.

Luyang Town River belongs to Xiangjiang River and Ganjiang River system. Among them, jiutangjiang river is a tributary of Zhejiang water. It enters from Tuqiao and flows into Zhejiang water by converging changtangshui, Jinjiang, Shoujiang and Changhe rivers. Chenbinjiang river is the upstream channel of Yijiang River, a tributary of Ganjiang River. It originates from bengganglong in Shanglian village and flows into Yijiang river through Huigu mountain and caodong water. There are 8 rivers with a total length of 16.5 km and an average annual runoff of 57.81 million cubic meters.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, nine small (II) reservoirs have been built, including sanwanlong, quantang and Dejing reservoirs. The total water storage and diversion is 2255000 cubic meters, and the right irrigation canal of longhudong reservoir is 8.85km, which runs through eight administrative villages.

Among them, iron ore reserves are relatively large, with geological reserves of 100 million tons and recoverable reserves of 80 million tons. Cultural relics protection units
In Luyang Town, there are seven state-level cultural relics protection units, namely, the former site of Rucheng conference, the former site of the special committee of the Communist Party of Hunan in Rucheng, Zhu's ancestral hall, Zhu's ancestral hall, xiuyifang, fan's family temple and Zhongcheng's ancestral hall. Lianxi Academy
Lianxi Academy was built in 1220 to commemorate Zhou Dunyi, the founder of Neo Confucianism in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is a provincial cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province. Zhou Dunyi (known as Mr. Lianxi in the world) was the magistrate of Guiyang (now Rucheng) (1041-1044). He was diligent in farming and reading, good-natured and kind-hearted, and well-known in official administration. He wrote the famous works of AI Lian Shuo, Zhuo Fu and so on. For thousands of years, officials in Rucheng have led their teaching, and the people have cherished their virtue. They have built academies to commemorate them forever. Since Zhou Sicheng, the county magistrate of the Southern Song Dynasty, built Lianxi temple in 1220, the site has been changed nine times by stealing fire and vicissitudes.
