agricultural development
Wushui town vigorously promotes the process of "three modernizations" and develops the labor economy. There are more than ten thousand farmers in the town who abandon agriculture to do business and go out to work or work nearby. Many farmers rent their responsibility fields to others and eat "commodity grain". In addition, the weak grain market price some time ago has affected the enthusiasm of villagers to grow grain. In the spring of 2004, the No. 1 central document came down, calling for the development of the grain industry and the increase of farmers' income. Grain market prices also rose, millet has become a "golden cake.". Farmers saw the broad prospects of growing grain to become rich, which gave birth to the enthusiasm of farming. According to the statistics of the town's agricultural group, there are more than 800 households in the town, and more than 3000 mu of rice fields contracted to others have returned to their "mother's home". In the face of farmers' enthusiasm to grow grain, the town government guided the farmers to make a good planting plan according to the requirements of new agriculture, so as to increase production and income. Liya Village Li Xixing used to work in Guangdong Province. His family contracted four mu of responsibility land to others, which was not cost-effective. In the spring, Lao Li took back the responsibility field early, prepared enough seeds, and did a good job in plowing and harrowing. Under his leadership, the villagers of the whole village took back the original 64 mu of paddy fields and cultivated them by themselves. In 2004, Grain Growers in Wushui town bought back more than 20000 kg of high-quality hybrid rice, and prepared more than 1.5 million tons of soil and fertilizer, chemical fertilizer and agricultural film. The "old hand" farmers of that year showed their scientific farming technology in the field.
Characteristic economy
Wushuizhen taro is famous for its beautiful appearance, delicate powder, rich fragrance, hammer shaped appearance, milky white purple spots and high starch content. At the same time, it is also famous for its multi vitamins, rich in active calcium and various trace elements, which can remove fat, reduce blood pressure, nourish skin and beauty. It won the "Silver Award" at the first Hunan Agricultural Expo in 1999 and Chenzhou Agricultural Expo in 2000 In 2001, he won the best-selling product award in Chenzhou tourism ecological Festival. At the same time, the income of taro in Wushui town is more than four times higher than that of traditional agriculture, which attracts Linwu farmers to adjust the planting structure. In 2006, the planting area of taro in Wushui town was 21400 mu, an increase of 15% over 2005. There are more than 800 taro merchants in Wushui Town, and the sales network is all over China, especially in the South China market. The products are also exported to Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macao markets. Taro in Wushui town has been planted in Linwu County for hundreds of years. As early as several hundred years ago, Wushui town had the habit of planting taro by the river and the pond. In the late 1980s, Beixi village of Shuangxi Township began to plant a small amount of taro in the paddy field, and in the early 1990s, a production base of more than 100 mu was formed. The county Party committee and the county government make the best use of the situation, take Beixi village of Shuangxi township as a demonstration village to promote the cultivation of taro in the whole county, and provide support from the aspects of technology, capital, labor, information, etc. At the same time, in order to rapidly develop the scale of taro production, Wushui Town, taking Beixi village of Shuangxi township as a typical example, led the leaders of neighboring villages and towns to visit and learn from the demonstration site. With facts, benefit led the way, and point led the area, taro planting gradually spread to all villages and towns in the county. After years of cultivation and development, the planting area increased year by year. Wushui town has become a leading variety of vegetable industry in Linwu county and a main way to adjust the agricultural industrial structure, increase farmers' income and increase agricultural efficiency.
distance learning
In the process of distance education, Wushui town of Hunan province insists on carrying out the "three three" learning and using demonstration project activities to effectively promote the solid development of distance education. "three three" learning demonstration project activities, namely: three learning demonstration townships (towns) for distance education are determined every year, three learning demonstration villages for distance education are determined for each township (town), and three learning demonstration households for distance education are determined for each demonstration village, and they are listed for management. by carrying out the "three three" distance teaching demonstration project activities. First, the comprehensive quality of Party members and cadres has been improved, and the role of "dual leadership" has become more prominent. More than 5000 people have mastered two practical technologies, accounting for more than 90% of the total number of rural Party members and grassroots cadres in the town, and more than 300 practical technologies have been promoted. Second, it has strengthened the cohesion of the grass-roots party organizations and consolidated the ruling foundation. The grassroots party organizations in the town provided more than 1200 pieces of information for the masses to get rich, and helped to sell more than 56 million kilograms of various agricultural and sideline products. The centripetal force and cohesive force of grass-roots party organizations have increased significantly. Third, it has promoted the rapid development of rural economy, and farmers are getting rich faster. The county-level science and technology demonstration bases with good demonstration effect, such as the high-quality taro planting demonstration base in Beixi village of Shuangxi Township, Linwu duck breeding demonstration base in Liujia village of Wushui Township, and the high-quality navel orange cultivation demonstration base in Nanqiang Township, have emerged, forming "branch + association + base" (such as Beixi Village), "livestock + biogas + fruit tree" (such as Chujiang township), "distance education + base + enterprise" (such as Fenshi township) Baishi Village) and other production development modes have further expanded and strengthened the production of agricultural industries, such as the development of characteristic agricultural products such as Linwu duck, Dachong pepper, Linwu taro, hongxintao, Wumei, etc. It has a good radiation driving effect in the whole county. There are more than 50 specialized villages of "planting, breeding and processing" in the county, with new types of villages“
